After much speculation and plenty of permutation, finally, The Other Shoe has officially dropped. -- It's a blockbuster trade, and Kevin Garnett is walking through that door to join Paul Pierce and newly acquired Ray Allen in pursuit of the 17th championship banner of the Boston Celtics.. -- This is the biggest trade so far this season. NBA fans, what are your expectations and insights regarding this big trade? Will this be the realization of KG's dream of a Championship Team? Who will lead in the scoring department for the team?

The combination of such superstars have a great contribution to the team. Finally, the raining MVP Kevin Garnett have joined forces with Ray Allen and Paul Pierce. Based from my expectations, I think Boston Celtics will be able to enter the playoffs so far this season if I'm not mistaken. Now that 3 great superstars are in the court with the same uniform we will see the first time ever teamwork of the said superstars.Do you believe that this will be their advantage in winning the championship?

I think your right my friend.. It's really a blockbuster trade because nobody has seen it coming.. Imagine Kevin Garnett going to another team, I thought he would stick to the WOlves the rest of his career and then kaboom this trade happened.. In addition to, Ray Allen the master of the 3-point line is also there for some extra leadership.. It's amazing really how this team went.. Now that you have 3 superstar in one team, I have question for you my friend, Who will lead in scoring and who will stand as their captain?pls reply..

I really don't know,, I would say that pierce is the main guy for the reason that he is the captain of the team for the previous seasons.. But I do agree that KG will dominate inside.. I expect him to make more double-doubles this season.. I believe that the scoring will go evenly among the three.. Ray Allen will fire those long bombs, Pierce will go to the hoop and make And1 plays and KG will grab those offensive rebounds and shake the rim.. Its really fun.. Let's just say that the trade is really amazing and the Celtics is a team to be watched for the following seasons.. How do you find Kobe as a Player? Lot of critics claims that he is better than Jordan.. Personally I don't agree.. How about you??

Last season, none of their teams wasn't able to make it for the playoffs race. Ray Allen suffers in his team even Paul pierce and Kevin Garnett. I think Garnett will lead this team. Though his team last season isn't good, he still makes triple double stats and he also dominates rebounds. How about you? Who do you think is the most exciting superstar in this team?

Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce, and Ray Allen are great superstars. They have made big contributions to their own teams. They are the heart and soul of their teams. And now that they are in one team, who knwos who will be the leader of the celtics. The Boston Celtics have made the best trade in the NBA this year. And KG, Pierce and Allen may be able to bring the Celtics their 17th Championship banner, but we have to consider the age of these superstars. Paul Pierce and Ray Allen have already been in the league earlier than KG, and they may not be able to perform the way they did when they were that young. Another consideration is that the Celtics have traded almost half of its players to acquire these big superstars.

That is true. That is why the biggest challenge lies on the management of the Celtic teams. Who will they acquire to bring more reinforcements or role players to complete this great team. I think the age is also a factor so once again the management of this Celtic team should grab the opportunity while these players can still produce because I think 2 to 3 years from now these superstars are already catching their breath during games and you'll see them more often in the bench. Are you a fan of this Celtic team? or what is your favourite team and what are your expectations from them. Mine is Cleveland and I expect James to be stronger in his game because of the playoffs experience he had during the last season..

Those are three big names but Ray Allen is old and Pierce is up there in age as well so they may have problems staying healthy. They also got rid of most of their team and some draft picks so they will need to replace the players they lost. It looks good on paper but I do not think they will make the finals this year. They may make the playoffs but no championship this year as they need to find good role players. I think the three of them will score pretty evenly.

You have a point there my friend. Age is really a factor in this type of sport so it may have an effect to this newly built organization.. The team did lost some key role players from their roster due to the trade so they really need more back-up. You have nice pressumptions and I appreciate your thoughts.. thanks again..

I think this trade seriously makes the Celtics a contender for the championship. If they became playoff contenders with the acquisition of Ray Allen, then this trade for KG has made them championship contenders.. They basically become a pick your poison team for opponents.. Who do you guard? Pierce? Allen? or Garnett?

Yap I definetely agree. It is really gonna be impossible to defend this new Celtic team once the three big superstars got hot. How can you double team Kevin Garnett if he would kick out the ball and pass it to Ray Allen for a sure Three points, or pass it to slashing Paul Pierce for a possible dunk and even a three-point play. The only dots this team need to connect is the leadership of the team. Who will be your main guy when it comes to crucial plays. Would you give the ball to pierce for his the captain of the team? Ray Allen who is capable of hitting buzzer beaters? Or Garnett who has made lots of winning shots in his career?

Yea, now all they have to do is get some role players since they traded half the team to get KG.

This would be a challenge for the coaching staff as to who would be the captain, who would be given more plays, and I think "Doc" Rivers will have a long season to prepare for.

You have a point there. I agree that they need a strong pointguard to complete their starting five. Doc Rivers and the rest of the Boston Management will have to figure out how to complete this team as soon as possible and while the superstars still have legs because it will be a big waste if they run out of time trying to figure how..

Now this is a all-star team, all three players are great. I see Boston making it far into the playoffs, and Kg's dream has a more than likely chance of paying off. For the scoring department its tough to say, both kg and Pierce are great players. In my opinion it's still Pierce's team.

I think Paul Pierce would still lead this team in their scoring department, their defenses would be strengthen with Kevin Garnett around and Ray Allen will provide additional points but he would only be second to Pierce. Is this the realization of Garnett's dream? not yet... they still need time. I think they could go for the champsionship crown next season. This season I predict they would only go to the Eastern Conference finals. This team needs a superstar pointguard in order to go for the Championship ring as World Champion.

I think that Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett will be the top scorers for this team. Who will score more? I don't know...both of them are prolific scorers. It's good to see that the Celtics became aggressive this year acquiring All-Star players. With the New England Patriots and Boston Red Sox always in hunt for the championships every year, this trade made the Celtics important again in the New England sports scene. Also, I just read last night that the team is also trying/convincing/negotiating with Reggie Miller to come to town and join the Big Three. If ever, that will really make an All-Star team and anything but the playoffs (or the Finals) will be a big disappointment. With this set of players, I say that the team will be contenders for 2-3 years but after that, I don't know. They need to develop younger players for the future.

This Boston Celtics team will surely be a playoff contender. They may struggle at the start of the season just like the Chicago Bulls last season but I'm pretty sure they'll make it in the postseason. The only question is, how far will they go? This team is practically a 3-man team. I think the big three will average atleast 20ppg since I think they'l all login more or less 40 mins. a game. It's true they signed House and Pollard but those guys are not enough. They need to get a better point guard sooner or later because the only way this team get go very far is if they have a good point guard that can set and make the plays for them. All in all, I'm just excited to see how this team will perform in the season.
