Do you have a special song for your child(ren)?

When I was pregnant with my son (first baby), I heard the song "I Love You Up to the Moon". It was from a lullaby CD sung by Kathie Lee Gifford. It made me cry because, at the time, I couldn't imagine loving someone that much. It has become my special song for my son, who is now 7 years old...and it still makes me cry. I typed it up on special paper and put it in a frame in his room so he will always have it. My daughter actually has 2 songs. One is "You Are My Sunshine" (which I found out later was the song my mom sang to me when I was a baby). Her other song is "I Hope You Dance" by Leann Womack. I did the same for her, typed it up and put it in a frame in her room. I love sitting and listening to that song all snuggled up with her. She is 4 years old and LOVES to snuggle. Do you have special songs for your child(ren)?

My daughter and I loves singing Barney's "I love you, You love me" I am, not sure if that's the real title of the song but eversince she heard that song, she always ask me to sing it with her. And its really fun. Singing and dancing with your kids.

I have the same song for my daughter- I hope you Dance ~ It’s a great song- her song to me is “In my daughters eyes” ~ by Martina McBride- It’s another great song- Music is great- it sets a mood, it is uplifting, it’s comforting, you can use it to speak your heart. I love the idea of putting it in a frame in their rooms.

I finally found the little gift book/CD set of "I Hope You Dance". I hope to give it to her someday - whether it is for graduation or her wedding. Thanks for commenting!

"Not When I'm Around" is my song for my baby. The way I feel for my daughter is so much like the lyrics of the song..."nothing's gonna harm you..not when I'm around..."

The unconditional love we have for our children is priceless. There is nothing like the love of a child and for a child.
