I forgot to think about Tevez, I think he has great potential to be one of the great strikers in the game but still needs time to sharpen his skills. I would rather have Hernan Crespo lead my attack if I was the Argentine national coach just because of pure striker qualities. Good thing about Tevex though is his youth and energy. He almost single handedly save West Ham from relegation last premierhip season.

My favorite top 5 soccer players in the world are:-
1-Christiano Ronaldo:-His skills and speed wth the ball is just amazing to watch.He belongs from Portugal and plays international soccer or them.Apart from international football he also plays in English premier league for Manchester United and was a part of the team when Manchester United won this years English Premier league tournament.He was also declared as the footballer of the year 2007.
2-Zidane:-Another great footballer under who's captainship his National team France reached the finals of the Football world cup 2006 but were shockingly defeated in a penalty shootout against Italy.That match is also remembered for the red card that Zidane got for intensionally hitting a Italian player with his head.He was given the golden ball for playing the role of best mid-fielder in that world cup after which he retired.
3-David Beckham:-Another legend footballer who used to play for England but after a defeat of the english side in this world cup in the quarter finals he left his captainship post and was also thrown out of the England soccer team.
4-Ronaldinho:-This Brazilian footballer is great to watch as he uses his great skills and also considered as one of the best mid-fielders in the world.Currently,He is playing for the club Barcelona.
5-Wayne Rooney:-This player showed real skills from the first match he played for his team.He is also considered one of the best strikers and also the main striker of the England national side.He was also a part of Manchester Uniter this year when they won the prestigious English Premier league title.

Great response! I think just about everyone has a few of the same players. I think Rooney is a great player but still has a long time until he reaches the ranks of other strikers in the world. For example I would rather have Henry, Eto, Van Nistelrooy and Drogba right now. In a few years maybe he will have passed these players up in goals per season but as for now I would take any of these strikers before Rooney.

Well Maradona became famous for his Hand of God goal....till then he was just another player who was good and talented but no that great....but none of the other players required this to get their names....and also I am an ardent French fan....so its only obvious that I place Zidane before everyone else...

If i'm a world club famous manager i will choose Ronaldinho,Rooney and and Drogba as my attacker army!
