Do you ever use SMS?What for?

Actually I write more short messages than I call people. No matter if there is a special reason (like birthday,..) or only wanting to know what the other person is doing or feeling or.. whatever..

Yeah your right I agree with you SMS is a affordable to communicate with our friends and relatives. But now since there are networks who offered now affordable prices in call in same network I sometimes wants to used calls rather than SMS coz I can say all the message I want In one call.

I daily use the sms option in the mobile. I use it to send messages, wishes and important information to my friends, family members and relatives.

Dear mymytri, Of course it is nice function we have in our mobile. When I first bought my mobile, I used to send lot of SMS to friends and relatives. During passage of time slowly I stopped sending SMS because it takes considerable time to put the message into mobile. I, therefore, talking to them directly through mobile. My daughter always send SMS instead of talking. It is very useful, in case you do not want to talk to a particular person, but want to convey message, in that case it is very useful.

I like the SMS function in mobile very much .. specially the forward message function plus there are many advantages of SMS .. When your friend is not talking to you .. you can take the support of SMS and can write them whatever you want to say by the way of SMS. SMS also is an alternative to Call .. specially when call charges are high. Infact the whole mobile phone is our necessity.

Most of the time, I prefer to call the people , rather than typing and sending the SMS . But at the cases when I am so busy and I get some call, then I cancel the call and send the SMS to the caller that I will call them later or Im very busy. SMS is a good tool , but I cannot sit and type in the mobile for a very long time. So its better for me to give a call rather than send some sms.

I have a problem with my voice, so I prefer to send SMS rather than talk by phone. I use a plan for retired people who allows them to choice nine telephone numbers to which you can talk at a preferencial price. To talk to other numbers you must buy a card, but I don't do it. So I talk only with owners of some of such preferential numbers (not all, as *911 is one of them, and, thanks God, I haven't needed to call to it) and send SMS to all other people.

SMS is one of the major means of communication between me and my friends....well we all have free msging services and why waste money when you can get it done gor free...we usually even have long chats just by msging...its kinda cool and also addictive and also we have the advantage of msging in class without the lecturers knowledge...

I always use sms and actually prefer it rather than calling. I use sms to keep in touch with my friends and family in overseas. I find that sms is more effective.

it's more practical and cheaper to use the sms compared to calling the person you want to communicate with unless of course, if it's really an emergency or very urgent call. i am luckier because i am into autoload and electronic loading business transactions and i am getting free sms as bonuses. i am grabbing this opportunity to send as many sms as i can to friends and loved ones since these messages are free.

Me and my friends don't call each other too often now and we use SMS instead in almost all occasions unless there is something complicated which can't be explained with a few words. I use SMS to make appointments with friends and greet them when I don't hear from them for a long time. Also, since me and my boyfriend live in different countries with time difference, we use SMS to communicate. I am happy to receive the little notes on my phone and it definitely makes me really happy. I don't think it's a waste of money, instead, I think it is a brilliant invention!

I love texting and I use it all of the time. I hate talking on the phone, and several times I want to ask a question without the awkward 5 minute conversation to get to it or after it. This comes in very handy when trying to get percise information in little time. It is also good for places where talking on the phone would be rude.

here in my place, SMS and cellphone has always been the twin of the human body. we cannot live for a day without it. we use the sms function for everything and anything. even for courtship! imagine that. haha. it was never a luxury for us to own a cellphone rather it is a necessity. everybody here has their own cellphone, others have two for different networks. kids as young as 8 years old own one too. so their parents may track them wherever they are. they bring it in school so they could communicate with parents. also, the schools see to it that they have this 'sms hotline' so students would be informed of whatever event their is in school or urgent and important announcements that the school wishes to convey to students. the fire department also has their own 'hotline' and the police. we can even report crimes thru our phones. so basically, everything that we need is in our phone. we use sms all day for everything.

I'm no phone person, I hardly even answer the phone when someone calls so I send SMS all the time to everyone. Even if it's just to check up on how they're doing.

I hate talking on the phone at the best of times.. I would much rather just sms, its easier and quicker for me and I get to say whzat I want to say in a couple of words.

SMS is a great facility provided by mobile phone companies. It is less expensive than making calls. For very short or casual messages it is very very usefull. I am very much aware of these facts, but have never made an sms message. I didn't came across such an ocassion which made me to use it. I always open and read messages recieved in my phone. If some reply is to be given I will call the person. I don't know why.

Yah. Because here in the Philippines we always do sending SMS. That is why are country is called the texting capital of the world. I send SMS everyday to my friends.

I am really stupid because I do not know what SMS is. I do not have an opinion on it. I cannot tell if you are spending money foolishly because SMS is usless to me until I figure I know what it is. LOL

SMS is very convinient than call from mobiles. Compare to money SMS has lower cost than call. I am doing sms almost everyday than call. When you dont have sufficient balance, that time we can sms to save some money. I feel SMS is good technology to delieve our message to anybody without wasting time. Now I am using SMS to promote my business.

some time u find that sms can do better than voice do in hard time in some words thats why i use sms
