For local and state news, I read the newspaper. For international and national news, I watch TV. For interesting news item, I surf internet.

I say definitely the internet. Free, more readily available, more easy to find the top stories.

I think newspaper is better because here you get all the information in compact form, you have the main page cvontaining headlines, sports page, business page, local page. so it is easy to read and whenever you want. besides even if there is no electricity you can read newspaper.

I read both, but since I go to work early in the morning, I read the important news thru the internet at the office, and read side notes on the evening as part of my daily routine.

Internet, especially sites such as the BBC. The newspaper's need to make money. So they're not all completely straight down the middle (look at the UK Daily Mail - which is horribly right wing), others such as The Sun jump on bandwagons to sell papers, to go with popular opinion. On the internet you're more likely to get news, rather than a viewpoint.
