ya net is also a source of getting news...probably the most fastest source...but i use net mainly for chatting and collecting my study materials...

I say definitely the internet. Free, more readily available, more easy to find the top stories.

I think newspaper is better because here you get all the information in compact form, you have the main page cvontaining headlines, sports page, business page, local page. so it is easy to read and whenever you want. besides even if there is no electricity you can read newspaper.

Internet, especially sites such as the BBC. The newspaper's need to make money. So they're not all completely straight down the middle (look at the UK Daily Mail - which is horribly right wing), others such as The Sun jump on bandwagons to sell papers, to go with popular opinion. On the internet you're more likely to get news, rather than a viewpoint.
