I'm having a number of friends. Most of they are far away from me. We meet once or twice in a year. Few years back i used to write letters or post greeting cards to them. But now, i used to send e-mails to them to know about them. I just can't recall when the last time i posted a letter to any of them. More honestly, i can say that i'm not having courage to post a letter to anybody. I always look for e-mail option. Do you also? Do you like Ordinary mailing system? Can u recall when the last time u posted a mail?
Which one is the better one - Ordinary mail system or e-mail?

The last time was Christmas season. I sent over 30 Christmas cards to friends in the US and the Philippines.
To be honest, I love sending and receiving letters. I love snail mails though they can be well, slow. My friends were teasing me because they received the cards a month late!

Well, for me i still like to send a letters to my friends whom far away from me. But now internet are the best to send an email to a friend; and also the cell phone sending messages. Its a fastest way to communicate to our family, friends and to our love ones especially when he/she in far away. But i still keeping post letters to my friend like seasons greetings, christmas, new years and etc.

In my whole life, I actually never experienced writing a letter and sending it using postal mail. THough I have written lots of letters that are suppose to be mailed to my aunt in U.S since I am from the Philippines. But because of the e-mail thing which is way faster and convenient rather than regular mail. that's why I never considered mailing a letter in postal offices. Which ones better?? Definitely E-MAIL for me. :)

I used to have a lot of penfriends before I started university. But that was 3 years ago and I also didn't have net access then so I had to find something to do that would keep me busy. I don't really penpal anymore but that doesn't mean I've forgotten my penfriends. I'm just a lot busier than I used to be. I do intend to get back into the habit when I'm done with college.

I used to write letters until I was in my 20s. These were mainly letters to my girlfriend (now my wife) and my penpals. I also used to write letters home when I was overseas on holidays. But not anymore. I have stopped writing letters for a looooooong time now. Now I write emails instead of letters. But come to think of it, emails are also like letters in a way, especially if you write many paragraphs of text and telling long stories. It is just that the medium of communication is different, we don't use pen and paper, and sending a "letter" out in the form of email now is almost instantaneous and doesn't require postage.

Hello helloravinder,
I don't remember when was the last time I wrote a letter. Since I created my Yahoo Mail address about four years ago, I don't write a snail mail anymore. But I stopped writing a letter long time before that, just can't remember when was the exact time.
I prefer to write an e-mail now and e-greeting better than any other ways. It is the easiest and the other party will receive the e-mail/e-card in no time. I don't really use handwriting right now and I think, mine has become a bit like a doctor's writing *laughs*

The same with you!I merely write to my friends through the ordinary mail system since i go to the college. But i still remember the last time i posted a letter. The last letter was sent to my parents when i was fresh man in college.Since then ,no paper letters. To the e-mails,i send them little. For me,I have no computer now.
Which one is better? In my opinion,we can write paper letters for some memeroy.Aha,e-mails are the better method now.

Actually, I still post a lot of letters since they are much more personalised (with my handwriting and all) and they even go globe-trotting to my friend's place. Only problem is that stamps are costing way too much now... if not, I wouldn't mind posting a letter every so often as once a week.
Last time I posted one though was about a month ago to Germany.

I still put pen to paper quite a bit. I send cards on all the important holidays to my family since I live quite far away from them. I also have a friend who writes to me and I write back to her 2 or 3 times a year. That seems to work better for us than email (although I email most everyone these days). And I also send postcards to my friends and family when I travel. So I guess I still send quite a lot of snail mail!

I have forgotten when is the last time I have posted a letter to my friend. Seems like more than 10 years ago. Nowadays, communication with friends are mainly done using the MSN messengers, e-mails or social networking facilities.
Email is convenient and we can send to multiple users at the same time for the same content. Why should we spend the money on the envelopes and stamps. Beside its also help to protect the environment by cutting down the usage of the papers.
