E-Gold - question

Since there are some programs which only pay thru E-gold, I'd like to know more about it. I read their homepage and, as far as I can understand, they charge you for their service. What's not clear to me is how much.
Is there anyone here who has an e-gold account and can tell me how this works?
I also read something about them being charged with money-laundering. Is that true or was it a scam?
Thanks!

Yes, e-gold charges for their service in two ways.
1. They charges 0.43% of the payment received. Sometimes you are exempted with this charge when the sending party bears processing fee.
2. A 0.13% is being charged as storage fee when there is no transaction for certain period.
Hope these will help you.
