do you think silence has more meaning than spoken words? Does this rule apply all the time? are there any exemptions?

To me silence has way less meaning than spoken words because unless you are unable to speak that tells me you're giving the silent treatment because you're mad. We've all done it and that includes me too. My husband is very bothered by this as where I like it because quiet is a good thing to me. But with that said there is no way you can fix the problem if you're not talking. Communication is the best way to get along and the only way to work things out. This is just my opinion.

ya...we should use silence only when we are sure that speaking cannot change a thing... again it depends....

Silence is a bliss at times, Silence can "promote peace". I have a discussion on the same topic. Hope you will see that too.

Silence at the appropriate time can speak volumes, and when used inappropriately can divide more then any chasm. To me, silence is oft misunderstood, and misapplied.

Sometimes it work but sometimes it doesn't work.I need more silence in office cause my boss preferred more working than saying person. But when you get trouble with your friend or your mom,I think talk would be better.
