I remember, I was 16 years old by then when I tried to ride a bicycle and learned it by myself for barely 2 hours. Before that, i have was hearing so many remarks and warnings that you would never get to learn the thing until you get a scar from learning it. Luckily, I learned the skill without an inch of a scar.
The funny thing is, i got scarred after a year due to a small accident in your neighborhood.

i was 5 i think and i know it took my parents forever to get me to try it in the first place and then i remember my dad running behind me holding the bike a whole weekend, because i was scared i would fall. and of course i did, so for me the scar-theory fits perfectly fine *g*
but ever since im using my bike pretty much every day (except for when i lived in america *g*) and i love it :)

i think i was 7 years old when i first rode a bike. My brother Kuya Mark taught me how to ride a bike. i remembered i was having a hard time using the pedal and balancing and it was kinda funny because i my brother was always shouting "kaya mo yan! wag ka nakatungo palagi, pidal!" hahahha.. well, i guess it was just great reminiscing my childhood years...
by the way, this question is nice.. i missed the old days..

I think I was around 6 years old. My dad worked really hard to teach me. I remember I had this junky old bike my parents had gotten from someone, and my dad spraypainted it silver to make it look better and he would get me on the bike and hold on to the seat while I pedaled and then he would let go and I would do fine until I realized he wasn't holding on anymore :)
