With this discussion, i move on to 99. Just ONE point away from becoming a STAR PERFORMER!!...lol. I've butterflies moving in my belly right now. Many of you may already have crossed the hundred mark, so you must be knowing the anxiety while being on 99 very well.
I just want to know what STAR RATING you had guessed/expected getting while being on 99.
You wanted to be the No.1 STAR of myLot?
NO NO NO, you wanted to be a number 10 STAR....LOL
That's what everyone wishes to have. But i know it won't happen so easily.
You must have had some idea like you would get atleast beyond this much, say 7 for instance. Even you must have guessed some STAR RATING for yourself specifically, knowing the quality and quantity of your postings.
Share with me, which STAR had you guessed for yourself?
A cool BLUE of 10?
or
A bloodish RED of 9?
or
Thought you'll be a YELLOW YELLOW DIRTY FELLOW of 8?
or
something below that?
Also tell your guess on me, what would i get?
I think i would get a 7, that's just my guess but have no confidence. I'll be unhappy if i get anything like 5 or below that. Pray for me.....hehehe

ha ha... I never really take note of how many posts I have.
Most of the time, I just post cos the topic is good.
And I have something to to contribute to the topic as well, of course.
Dun fret too much about the rating. As long as you are enjoying yourself here, it really doesn't matter much. ;)

I was here before they were, so I had no anticipation, only confusion when they appeared. lol
I think mine was an 8 then 9. I got up to a 10, then 99/100!! Whoppee!
Then one day I made a couple of people mad.My star fell to a 93 and it is a pretty red color. Red or blue I don't care but if it gets to yellow, I am going to have a minus party with my friends to get it down to 7. I don't like the yellow one.
Anything over 3 would be fine. If it got below 3 I would know that I was doing something wrong, and I would have to leave to take a look at what I was doing wrong!LOL
You might can tell I don't care much about the star thing. It is not very reliable as a judge of your rep on here. While a few might not like your opinion you will drop and it takes a long time to get it back up. It is a better judge of whether or not you have stated your opinion or not.
But still I know that it is exciting for you! I am happy that you got this far. It will go quicker as you get more and more posts under your belt!
i hope you get a red or blue star! Blue is what you deserve, but red *would* look good!

Actually... I had no expectations as at the time... I did not know that our first one hundred posts would count towards our star rating.
My first star was rated 5 and within a month... I was rated 9. Then I made the unfortunate decision to talk about religion... and I dropped to 7 within 24 hours. It took me two months to get back to 8 and I have been stuck there since April.
All that to tell you that the star system does not work... and I don't believe in it.
Those who have a rating of 9 or 10 only do so with the support of their friends. It has nothing to do with the quality of their answers. Because of what has happened to me... it would not surprise me that it is mostly the religious people who gives plus and minus. Try mentionning GOD in every answer... and you will get a 10 in no time.
Those who rate 5 or less are simply controversial and get minus ratings because people don't approve of their views.

I think anyone can eventually get to 10. Basically, all you really have to do is post meaningful responses (don't just post), try to make them positive, be friendly, and keep posting.
I still have that blood-red 9, but my rep has moved up recently from 93 to 94. Some people get that 10 by the time they reach 100 posts, which is amazing. Ultimately, we are rated by other people, and results vary. But still, people respond to positivity. :)
I'm happy to say that my rating has not gone down since I started out with that green 5 at 100 posts. It seems as long as you don't just let it all go, or start posting negative one-liners or something, you'll do well. Just don't try to get too popular; there are hateful people here, too. :o

I got a 10 when I first reached 100 but after a few days it turned red/9 and I don't know why!? I've always answered and post good answers but I still don't know why my rating went down but anyways I'm still happy because I'm still a 9, not bad!
I guess you'll be a 10 because your post is well written! Good luck and Keep it up!

I was well over one hundred at the time they started the star rating system. So I had no prior knowledge of this system ever being put in place, and didn't have to go through the butterflies upon reaching up to my 99th post and wondering what such a rating I would get.
Although it did surprise me to start out with '9' in my rating. I wish you much luck and I am pretty sure you will get a good star rating once you have reached your one hundredth post. :)

i didn't guess anything i just hoped that my rating wouldn't be very low!lol anything below 5 would have been a great disappointment for me and thank God when i got the star it was a pink one just above the 5!:)and to my more happiness it turned to that "dirty fellow" only within two hours;) it's still a great mystery to me why and how that happened.. as for you, in my opinion you are not going to get any star lower than the red 9 one. maybe you haven't observed but you have really maintain very good quality in each of your discussions and as far as i know the same could be said about your replies too. so i think any star below 9 would be unfair, who knows you may even get that blue one!:)
i'll keep my congrats for that 100th one!:)

i am really astonished to know that you got one of your discussions deleted!!why would they do it? in best response, perhaps that discussion contained some violation. once one of my BRs was deleted within hours and i think it was a kind of repetitive discussion and i already have one BR concerning that subject.:) anyway, i agree with you this maybe some backstabber's or some hidden enemy's doing..some people it seems just have a habit of getting jealous of others and of their popularity. and i guess you must have noticed this thing in other popular member's cases too. but still i believe you are not going to get a rating below 9 as one or two members can not affect it very much when you already have many others to +rate you!:)
and please don't term our replying to your those discussions as "wasting of time" because your friends, including me, are not going to like it!!:)

No, none of them had any violation.
It was a huge loss as it had lots of comments and responses. In total those two threads had 196 responses and lots of comments too. Since it was my discussion that you all responded to, i felt like i wasted your time. Don't get me wrong.
I feel sorry for all you guys who took time on my discussion.
Lets forget it, there's no point in crying over spilt milk.

Hey, this one really cheered me up. I was dissappointed and was in no mood to start new discussions after losing 2 threads with hundreds of responses for no reason. Even a discussion wherein i was awarded the best response got deleted within hours.
I don't know why all this is happening, may be because of some backstabbers and hidden enemies. I've written to myLot. All i can say to you guys is "sorry" for wasting your time and energy.
I think you people are observing my responses too, that was a bit unexpected but makes me happy. Even somebody who responded before you told the same. Also i recieved a private message saying that my responses are good. That makes me blush. Its my honour that you like my responses too.
You are also doing a fabulous job with your responding skills. You thoroughly deserve the Star number you've got. You should have got it much before.
Thanks for an inspiring response:)

Really a good question. I remember that I expected five or six but was given seven. I was happy. Soon it became nine. Then ten. After that it fellback to nine and later regained ten. I think we need not work for the star. Our work will bring the star. Yes it gives some comfort to posses a ten star grading, but that is not the most important thing or an important thing at all. Your anticipation is quite reasonable and modest. You wont be made to disappoint. I am sure you will get a better grade than seven. All the best.

when i was on 99 i had expected that my star rating would be atleast around 7, but when it came it was really dissappointing that my star rating was 2, the reason why it was two that the interests in which i was responding was an interest which there were only 1000-2000 members.

I am stuck on 98 and will forever be stuck on 98. I did drop down to a 97 at one point, and due to a myLot I actually dropped down to a 9 Star for a brief period. They fixed it very quickly. I strive to get to 99 and 100 but it just doesn't seem to be working out for me. I give other people positive ratings on their response, I would hope they would be doing the same.

They did not have stars when I reached 100 points. It was the big 500 we were trying to get. I never care about what kind of star a person has it doesn't influence me in the slightest.

I remember being nervous like you are. I was thinking oh wow soon I am going to have a star beside my name, and I felt nervous. I honestly thought I would start out at a 6 or a 7. You can imagine my surprise when I logged in the next morning and I was at a 10! I have stayed a 10 ever since as my star has never changed and I'm hoping it never does! Good Luck Hun! *hugzz*

When I first moved up to the star rating stuff, I had no idea what it even meant or what the colors stood for. LOL...I was really in the dark! I think I was a 7 when I got my first star, but I'm not real sure. It was the white/silver one. I didn't understand all that stuff, os I wasn't really expecting any particular star.:)

I can't remember my star rating when I was 99. But from what I've noticed is that when I begun to rate my best response and rate the discussions of other, I begun to have the star, as I rate more the star became blue with 10 in it. god bless in your stars!
