Upgrading the memory

I have a hp pavilion a345w and am trying to upgrade it. I have have gift card from wal-mart I would prefer to use but I'm not sure which memory to get for it.
I'm still new at the whole computer upgrading thing, but trying to learn!
anyway can anyone help me?

well it would to be too good if you also told what you already have,anyway go for corsair DDr2 800mhz 2 gb will be enough and also it is with lifetime warranty :) so one can trust their product

o man there is a good site that somebody recommended to me from Yahoo Answers..brb...lol...okay, all my answers to that question were go to www.crucial.com ...they have a system scanner which I used myself and they find the type of RAM you can buy and give you some specifics

hey that's great...i'm soo happy i could help. This is probably the first time i've got the best response. THANK YOU. Hope it works out fine. It's a US website (i'm canadian) but the scanner was excellent when i used it and it was very informative. Let me know how the buying process goes and how quick it takes to get here...because when i get another 200 dollars i'll be getting fold up solar panels and 2 1GB sticks for my laptop
