I know sanjay has reformed, and he is contributiing to the socitey in many ways ... but a crime has to be punished and he is guilty of possission of illegl wepons

Its very tough decision. I think he is a very good guy. So many politicians have done so much of crime but still they are free and a person who had enough punishment (stress for so many years) is still victimized. It was his first crime and he was not involved in any serious crime.

I too feel for that and even put a discussion on this subject. But he has to face the punishment for the act he did. Because he was good after that, the judge has given only 6 years instead of 10 and that too the previous 16 months are taken away from that 6 years.

well he did do a crime right? and i am sure lots of lives were lost when he did this crime.... as the judge said, he ought to be grateful that he got only 6 years... but i do wish that they allowed him to complete the projects that he had signed for as its not fair to the directors and producers to wait for 6 yrs to do the movie with him!

it was harsh. I dont support crime or anything but he had already spent 13 months in jail for the same offence and everything said and done he made a mistake he never really intended to do any real harm. Dont people always look for motivation even in a muder case dont people who do it in a fit of anger get a lesser punishment than people who delibrately plan to murder so why was Sanju given 6 years for a mistake and its not like he is going to repeate the offence or is a threat to society he is reformed man and he has given back a lot more back to the society than ordinary good people who do nothing for socity or community who are busy making life and money for themselves. And people who said he committed an offence and law is taking its course and he should not be let off b'cos of his celebrity status i would like to say he never ever took advantage of his celebrity status he went to jail the last time and came out a reformed man he lived like every jail inmates there and now as a common citizen why is he being punished twice for the same crime. Its really unfair.
