Minnesota bridge collapses.. I only live about four hours from where the bridge collapsed.. I have a friend that lives 20 mins away and travels that bridge every day for work.. I am so very happy he's ok and wasn't on that bridge when it fell..the news says 20 people are missing 7 people died so far.. This bridge is only 40 years old.. What do you think about this?

I just seen it too on the yahoo site.. OMG that was so scarey how it just went down so fast like that.. I am very happy I wasn't on the bridge when it went down.. This is the reason why I don't like them they do scare me that's for sure.. Thanks for your reply!

I know When I seen that my mouth just fell to the ground and see how fast it went was so unreal.. I am hoping they find something good in the next few days not to mention the cause of it going down.. Scary stuff that's for sure.. Thanks for your reply!

I've just watched a clip on the FOX news online. It's tragic, thinking that something like that could happen. The clip showed a school bus with kids on it,luckily the kids were saved but let us pray for the others who are still in need. They're in need of blood and I suggest anyone who are healthy can give out blood and save a life. Thanks wisconsin26.

So many of them theres still alot of cars under the concrete in the water.. So sad.. It actually brings tears to my eyes to see such a thing and not to mention a poorly structured bridge cause it never should of fallen that soon... Thanks for your reply!

I'm glad your friend is okay. I have always been fearful of some of the bridges around here. I will probably be more so now. I live in Mississippi but close to a few bridges that go over the Tennessee River. They are high, long, and one of them is kind of narrow too so I already get nervous going over them. It could happen anywhere.

I know that feeling all to well in order for me to go to Minnesota I also have to go over a long long bridge.. I won't be going there any time soon that's for sure.. Theirs always been something about them and yesterdays event made that clear.. The last thing I ever want is to be under the water stuck in my car hoping that help will come get me.. To scary for me.. And yes it can happen anywhere thats for sure.. I think it was just the poor structure of the bridge.. They also wanted to get the rest of them check that are in Minnesota so it don't happen again checking them though isn't going to really help unless they know exactly what brought this one down.. Thank you for your reply!

I live about 5 or 10 minutes from the bridge. I travel it a lot as well. I started a couple discussions about the collapse as well as a rescuers tale also thats a customer of my wifes. God Bless all.

Don't feel bad about it. There were many others as well.
This happens with major news stories all the time here. I understand.

Minnesota is in the united states and yes for whom ever put this bridge together didn't do a great job that's for sure.. I've seen much older bridges that are still standing actually.. So sad
