I am thinking of a career switch - engineering to sales? Any advice?

I am tired of doing engineering work..and the hours are long. I want to switch to sales ie.selling my company's products then working on the products in the manufacturing floor.Any advice friends?

To me engineering is like a boring job because the routine involves calculations, drawings and others whereas sales require interaction with people and deals with meeting targets within a certain deadline. I will advice do a research on sales industry then decide whether do you have ability to go into sales industry.

Thanks for the advice. I am searching thru the net for answers plus seeking friends advice.. I like to do sales bcos of the above reasons too.

I am Engineering too and now a homemaker. Well, with your engineering background, do you ever wanted to try Project Engineering or Program Manager where you manage a customer account or project. Pretty nice and challenging.
