My question to you is: is it gross when a movie shows an old man with a young YOUNG woman? I found it so gross watching Lost in Translation because Bill Murrey looks so old and Scarlett Johansson looks so young. Not to mention the both are married in the movie...to aweful people...but still...it shows our society it's ok to cheat as long as it makes you happy. ok that's my rant for the day. What do you think?

I don't know that I would necessarily agree with that statement. People can be attracted to each other in various ways with age having little or nothing to do with it.
In the Case of Lost in Translation and I'll try to be as spoilerfree as possible, you have to look at the situation. Two people in foreign country where neither of them speak the language or have any friends. Both alone there, both lonely and needing some kind of human companionship, or the very least someone who can relate to them.
It's not nearly as dirty or sordid as you make it out to be.

The chating part sucks, but the age difference is no issue. I am 25 and my fiance is 61. We love eachother truly and deeply, and our relationship is very passionate. Love is love regardless of age, and cheating is cheating regardless of age.

Oh, you are sharing my opinion about this movie, my friends think it's nice movie but I'm disgusted after watching it.
The reason is the same as yours reason - old, married man & young, pretty, also not single, woman. Awful;) This movie was not so bad, but this couple, Scarlett Johanson & Bill Murray makes me feel disgusted.
