You know I have been thinking about this for some time. Everyone wants to earn money from home. Well one thing I do is I croche personal blankets. they are big enough for 1 person and very comfortable. I sell them for about $50 plus shipping. It is costly cause I have to buy the yarn and it takes me about a month to make a single person blanket. There are otherthings you can do like gift baskets, or making beaded bracelets and necklaces. I just wanted to throw out these ideas at everyone.

Check out etsy.com. You do pay a small amount, 20 cents per picture, to post the photo but can be worth it. They get a small portion of the sale too. Build the extra amount into your selling price and you should do ok. Good luck!

Where are you selling them? I'm looking to sell some of my crochet projects. I tend to just give them away.

Hi Magikrose! I'm glad you upped your price for your blankets to at least $75. $50 is incredibly cheap, and really not worth it for you! How has the selling been going lately? Also, I'm interested in the kind of materials you use for your throws. Do you use mainly acrylic, or wool, or a combination? Thanks! Wyrdsister

Wool is too itchy to use ot make the yarn I like to use is a silky soft kind. I dont remember what it is but I believe it is acrylic but ooh so soft. I am out of it right now. My mother bought me this fluffy stuff that I have to figure something out with. I really havent sold any yet because I dont have the money to get the yearn in bulk to sell them but I will eventually :)

Have you tried to sell one of your blankets on ebay? You might be able to get more than $50 that way.

I want to do that I just have to get the yarn to make the blankets. What I am thinking about doing is selling a blanket that has not been made yet. It will be made to order like fast food is. The customer can pick what ever colors they want. Considering I can only do stripes right now that is what they are going to get but they will get the colors they want. What do you think?

my idea is to sew toddler nice clothes. for my home business I am just waiting for my sewing machine to get here. When I say nice I mean half suits for boys and long preety dresses for girls. not dresses that are to short and their are decent. for those moms that want their toddlers to dress nice . I will post more details about this once I start. Until then my idea is sewing. I live in alaska where its hard to get new things. people say Alaska is the bigest state in USA well I say thats just size, when it comes to shopping we're the smallest state. Us Alaskans have to mostly shop online or leave state to shop for variety.

i also love crochet. my mom used to crochet lampshades. looks beautiful. if you hang some beads on it, it would also look good. the blankets are too time consuming for me.

Thats really cool. Yeah blankets are time consuming but that is why I keep them down to a single person size and I can make one in about a month or less depending on how much I work on it.

Have you ever thought of the idea of selling your crocheted blankets at Etsy.com --it's a great place for any kind of craft, jewelry or art--I have a shop there myself..

Your idea is indeed great. In my country there are also people selling hand made things like what you are doing now. Most of the products are in high quality because it is hand made. And there is seldom another piece which will look identical to it in this world, that's why it is unique and more expensive.
