What would you do if your neighbor came over to use your washer but didn't bring any detergent instead used yours? I ask because I recently bought some and it's all gone.. I've only done maybe 10 loads out of it and the rest I am thinking he's using on me.. My husband says "You used it all already".. I tell him I know I didn't if YOUR friend would learn how to buy his own we wouldn't go threw so much... So what would you do?

I would be very upset..That is the least he can do..since he is using your machine and your water...Next time hide the detergent and maybe he will get the hint....or just tell him that you would appreciate it if he brought his own...It is very rude of him to impose on you....

Good choice...He is taking advantage of your kindness and he is going to regret it..because pretty soon you might just have to tell him no more...

I would not hesitate is telling him to replace my detergent and next time bring his own. If he can't afford it, then that's a different story, he could pay me later, however I would make it clear next time don't just take it without asking. To me that is what happens when they use it and never asked to, you know? It really gets to me when freinds do that cause I would never just assume the owe me anything.

Thats what I use with frebreeze in it.. I love the smell of it and it gets my clothing nice and clean.. I never used to use it until I met my husband years ago and that's all he ever used when he did his laundry.. So we just bought that.. Thanks for your reply!

Oh I know It makes me wonder if this person thinks I'm rich or something.. Their is only one kind I can use and it's expensive.. I break out easy if I use any other kind being I have such sensitive skin. My husband and son it don't matter what is used but.. For someone to come in my home and use my stuff with out asking is totally wrong.. My husband said he'd keep an eye on him when he does come over so that he knows for sure what's going.. He just couldn't believe that, that much was used.. Your right on the last part too, friends assume that too mainly when never asking just taking..

You could just remove the detergent before he comes over and hide it. That would leave him up a creek. LOL
BTW I so know what you mean about paying a bit more for your detergent. I use to use store brand, but I tell you I love Tide and now I pay the extra dollars for for it. It makes our clothes smell so good and feel so soft.

I would tell this neighbor to bring his own soap because you can't keep supplying it for him. Recently our neighbor went ahead and used our soap and didn't even ask. My boyfriend found it moved and the top off. We marked on every bottle "Don't touch!"

That sounds like a good idea.. Mark everything so maybe he might get the hint he can't do that.. Though i don't think it would even stop him from doing that... May I should put a zapper on it so when he touches it it zaps him and than I know he's touching my things... lol Thanks for your reply!

Thank you that's how I am too.. I don't mind helping people but I do not want it to be a all the time event for them.. Sometimes people just enjoy the fact of taking advantage of nice people and it gets to me.. Thanks for your reply!

I would tell him from now on he needs to bring his own. Not only is he using your detergent he's also using your electricity and water not to mention the wear and tear on the machine. If he doesn't give anything in return for your kindness I would tell him to find a laundry mat.

First off I would make absolutely sure he is using your detergent, by keeping track of the amounts used. Also I would check my billing statements to see how much your water and electric bills have changed. Take these FACTS to your husband and ask him if he wants to continue alowing his friend to use your washer and other supplies. If he does want to continue, then just be nice and go along with it.

My husband knows all about this actually.. I sorta blew up at him cause he asked me about the laundry.. I said "I wasn't able to do it when I have nothing to use".. Thats when he asked me if i used it all and on what.. Their is no possible way I could of with only 10-15 loads that I have done.. The last time I did do laundry it was half a container and now empty I mean hello!! And I even told him that.. I don't know where it went too.. Other than my husband and I being in the basement he has been the only one... Thanks for your reply!
