Can you tell me what is UNRESOLVED DISCUSSION mean?

What's the difference between discussions with no response and unresolved discussions? I had been thinking how mylot interpret it. What i thought unresolved discussion were those that has no response. But then, when i checked on my unresolved discussions, many of them or almost had responses.

I never bothered to visit my unresolved discussions either until I read a discussion regarding this subject. And it was through that discussion that I learned that the unresolved discussions are those discussions that I have posted but did not choose the one with a best response. When I get to know this, I visited my unresolved discussions and I got overwhelmed by a lot of discussions that I have not give a best response too. That was a month ago and I resolved to do better this month and I guess I did it. I only have a few unresolved responses because I still have to go through them again to make sure that I choose what I really feel is the best response.

try to get 3 or more people to enter in on the discussion, post their opinions and pick a best response. end of the unresolved discussion

oh that's it? i didn't know either. hehehe will that mean anything for us? i mean, will that earn for us, when we choose the best response?

by the way, if the discussion is resolved, will people still be able to continue posting comments to that particular discussion? thanks again roadrat! you seem to know a lot around here. :-)

that's it. mari_skye has your answer. you nee to revisit your unresolved q's to vote in a best answer. i've never been able to answer any of my q's after voting. i guess you can still comment. i'll have to try that too. anybody else?
