This is a good question, and im sure it varies opinion wise from person to person. For me, i am going to be 24 in a few days Aug 9th!! buuuuuut im not so excited.. What is 24 anyways? And what do i have to look forward to now? Ive passed 3 of the four major "milestones" in life already. Man do i feel old! Lets see.. At 16 i could drive, yippie.. milestones #1 At 18 i was considered a legal adult, i could stay out as long as i wanted, buy lottery tickets or cigarettes and go toadult place and strip clubs ( not that i do i find them degrating) but i could if i wanted. Milestone #2 And at 21 i could buy alchohool if i wanted. hmmm.. Milestone #3 But now what??? The only other thing i have to look forward to besides to daily grind of life and maybe a fam ( which can happen at any age these days) Is maybe retirment very far down the road?? MIlestone #4???? They say your only as young as you feel sure.. I still got alot of energy and vitality, but what do i do now? Whats to look forward to? Its like driving in a car over mountains and then coming up on a very long strait away, sure its relaxing and you have time to do many things but were are those peaks again? Soooo, what in life would you cinsider old, and why? And dont say 24!

My birthday is the 25th of May. So on my Golden Birthday all I could think about was that I turned a quarter of a century old. Now that I have passed the half century mark I am looking at the century mark as being old. So once I hit 100 I will feel OLD. HAHAHAHA!! theres always a lot to look forward to at ANY age. Every day has it's own challenges and changes from the day before. So it's always a new day and time as far as life goes. Just enjoy life one day at a time and don't worry about tomorrow as we know that tomorrow never comes when it does it is today. If you understand what I mean. Hahahaha!! HAPPY POSTINGS FROMGRANDPA BOB !!~

well said. yet tomorrow may never come at all. I guess life truly is a one day at a time kind of thing isn't it? I hope i have the energy and enthusiasm i see some have ,much older than me once and if i hit those age ranges.

Age is only a number. The older I get the less I think about them. There are days when I drag my bones out of bed and feel like I am going to fall over and then there are days when I am pretty happy and in a great mood. 24 is still young ... very, very young!!!

you are correct in that. It is only a number. Some days i forget I'm an adult and other days I'm griping about the darn kids this day and age. I used to think retirement was something to look forward to but that fact that the age limit was kicked back ten years here from 65 to 75 puts a damper on things. Oh well, what can we do but age and make the best of it right?

I remember the days when I thought 21 was getting old, and yet at the same time, it was something to look forward to. Thirty came and went without incident. I guess I was too busy having and caring for babies. I thought 40 would be a milestone, but once again I was too busy to notice it. My 50th would have passed without incident, but the young people in the youth group gave me a surprise golden party. I thought being 50 was wonderful! But the thought of turning 60 was rather scary. Sixty passed and I vowed I would never admit to being 70. That was ancient! Guess what, I turned 70 and I still love and enjoy my life, just as it is. Conclusion? Age is nothing but a number. There are old young people and there are young old people. The number is immaterial. Age is merely a number.

Why would I say 24 is old when I am near to it in age as I am 26 years of age. I used "years of age" intentionally as you asked what age is old for me. In my opinion no age is old for me. You must be young at heart and if you are then you ain't getting old.

I think your old when you think your old. I used to think 50 was old, but now I have seen some 50 year olds that act as if their lives have just begun. It seems fewer people are accepting "old age" and are enjoying their lives much more than they did before.

You're not even a quarter of a century yet, and you're worried about getting old. Now me, next year in February, I will be half a century old. Old is 20 years older than me. When I was 10, 30 was old. When I hit 30, 50 was old. Now I'm going to be 50 and 70 is old. When I hit 70, then 90 will be old. Take care

I am 54 now. No health problems. But I started my count down when I was 40. I think one should start it at least in 50. I am not depressed though, lol. Thank you for asking.
