What do you expect from your friend??

1)Affecttion&sharing 3)Compliment/advise 4)Criticism 5)Enjoyment 6)Money or 7)help or any other
Ofcourse we all make freinds and some freindships live life long and most of our freindships are only for short time.I feel that we should have common interests ,needs or opinions that stengthens friendship and make it continue for a long time.If you have real friends what do you expect from them????
As for me i have some good freinds ,I love to share my emotions and i expect affection and adivices ..ofcourse criticism too..These are main things i expect but remaining are just part of a my friendship.I dont see money or enjoyment particularly.
what about you friends.... do you expect anything from your friend?

The main thing I expect is honesty. Respect and caring are also very important to me. I need to be able to trust someone

The only thing that I expect from my friends is their continuous suppport. They should stand by me when I am happy and as well as when I am sad.
I want to share my happiness with them so that it gets doubled and share my worried with them so that they get halved.

As you said many of our friendships are short-lived. But some friendships last long. I think in a meaningfull friendship the primary nee is trust. We should be trustworthy to our friends,and they should also be the same to us. If trust and honesty is kept between friends that friendship will last long.

Dear Mymytri, I have 4 friends. 3 of them living in different cities. One is living in my city. Our friendship is not a friedship but we knew from our heart we are very close friends. Hardly we talk to each other. All are financially well off. One thing we. each other knew, in case any of our friends need any sort of help all of us would be there to help him. In one incident, one of my friends was falsely implicated who lives in other city, his wife telephoned me, when I reached within 3 hours, all my other friends were there. All of us spent money to get him bailed out from the problem. We all stayed 3.5 days. Till date we do not know each of us how much money we spent.

I need a friend who can take me for who I am. I also need a frind who can help me grow, and cover my back. The best thing about friends is "you can pick your friends but you cannot pick you family." We all have someone in their family that upsets us. I want a friend whom I can talk to, they can disagree with me, but not all the time. I want them to love me but not critize me all the time.

I would better say i expect very less from my freinds.I want them to be with me fro most of the time.I live ina hostel ,far from home so my friends are my life!.I stay with them fro 24 hours of the day!.
Ofcouse i expect them to help me,advice me,encourage me and scold me and even warn me when i make a wrong step!.ALso remember,I do the same things to my freinds.Afterall "You can't get one when u don't give one"!.

For friends i can say everything is welcome, may it be criticism, anger, love, everything. I don't mind friends giving me right advice,for i know that they are saying for my better.We in our college used to debate too much but it never happened that my friendship broke with anyone for feeling bad what my friend said.

I don't expect much from my friends, not material things anyway. I do expect trust and honesty. I need to be able to laugh with my friends or be able to cry with my friends. My main rule...never expect from friends what you can't give in return. LOL...I don't expect friends to have money because I don't have much right now either.:P Friendship is all based on trust and honesty...much like any relationship. If you don't have that, do you really have a good friendship?

I would love to hear criticism from my friends. In that way I will know if I am doing the right thing or not. If I heard some bad criticism well I won't get mad instead I will adjust to reverse whatver that negative attitudee or trait that I have. I ioul expect complete honesty from them and affection when I am down and depressed. I need thigs from them because theese are the exact things I show them. I believe that in friendship, there should be a give and take realtionship inorder for to maintain a solid relationship among the friends.

Are we supposed to have expectations of our friends? I doubt so. In my opinion, I don't think we need to expect anything from our friends, especially true friends. To be considered true friends, the friendship must have weathered through storms and emerged out unscaffed nd no words are needed. They will be there for you when you needed them. Sweet nothings, cruel criticisms, squabbles... all these are part and parcel of the friendship. If a friendship does not allows one to speak one's mind freely, I would not consider that true friendship.

yes I rely on my friends for support when i need someone to talk too, as my friends have always been there for me and vice versa, there's nothing like true friends who you can really rely on and can get some good advice from them too...
I dont expect nothing from my friends as long as we are there for one another when all things seem to go wrong...

IF WE EXPECT SOMETHING FROM FRIEND WE WILL GET HURTED IF IT IS NOT UPTO EXPECTION.I ALWAYS BELIEVE IN GIVING SOME THING TO MY FRIEND , PERTICULARLY MORAL SUPPORT WHEN EVER HE IS NEED AND EVEN MORE THAN THAT IF POSSIBLE, I NEVER WANT MY FRIEND TO GIVE ME MONEY, ENJOYMENT, CRITICISM, AFFECTION OR COMPLIMENTS.IN MY VIEW IF I CAN GIVE SOMETHING TO MY FRIEND THAN ITS OK BUT NEVER WISH TO COMPEL HIM FOR ANY SUPPORT IF HE CAN LET HIM DO OR ELSE NO MATTER , FRIEND IS FRIEND ALWAYS.
