I really do not know how it works, though I am here for 9 months. I work with a strategy: Out of 100 posts, I start 10 new discussions and give out 90 responses. I tag all, and I reply all emails.

i think i share to you the advise what the experts told me. i guess both counts but they say that responding to other topic is a greater way of earning here in mylot. you can also experiment if you want to trying one over the other but since no one really knows how they give money here in my lot then i guess we stick to there suggestion. starting a discussion counts but not much if there is only less respndent that's why responding to other topics or started discussion is more counted. i think so my friend.

Hi, As in my case I had not yet gone to in depth details related to this earning. Still I only know the basic structure that mylot provides some thing for our better contributions. We ourselves are able to analyse our topic value, responds value,photos and other facilities provided here through the earnings and points one get. Hi Micheal, I am not making much money here, but what i do is start 1 to 3 new once and reply to at least 20 each day + my own discussions replies. Even if I wish I cannot do more than this :) TheFortunes

Ok. Here is my opinion based on some research. You knew that I started a discussion about the Quantity Post vs Quality Post? Well.. I found something interesting. I don't know whether you have realized it or not. Based on the rank for which participation earn more money in mylot: 1. RESPOND to other's discussion. It's not just responding. You must post a good quality response to earn more. Discussion rated with "+" can earn more. Discussion with BR even more. So, actually stars will not affect your earnings, but it'll affect your popularity among members. The one that affect your earnings is your quality post. 2. START your own discussion. Just like mentioned above, it doesn't need to be so many responses. Actually, you're facilitating members to have a discussion to response to. If there's no discussion, members will not earn any. You got points for the first response, but not for the rest. 3. UPLOAD image/picture. We know this earn money.... :) 4. RESPONSE to your discussion that was responded by members. I noticed that this will earn you money, but not much, since you are just responding among your discussion. Basically, what mylot means by participation is that we are trying to enlarge the community and keep the wheel rolling. Thus, it's the best to response to other's discussion, especially DWNR (perhaps this earn more, but I haven't check it yet.) Well.. That's my opinion and thought. I'm open for any idea...
