Do hope that this will be a benchmark for the Internet Service Providers (ISP) now. For me, it is the realibility of the Internet access which I mostly treasured. However, the current access and services seems to be deteriorating. how nice if the speed is as per this article.

The article shows that such fast connections have potential and could be brought into mainstream by major Internet Service Providers, Id be glad if I just got 100mb in UK!

Exactly! And to think it takes us much longer and she wont even use the connection in its fullest potential! Cant imagine a 75year old downloading movies lol

I also read about it somewhere, and found it really amazing considering that I have been trying hard and twisting and tweaking to get my connection speed to get at least to 1 gb but getting hardly 256 kbps here !! Irony is that she had learned to use computers and internet only recently and uses the internet only for checking mails!! With that speed, she download a full length movie in less than 10 seconds.

I wish I had one. It is only a matter of time before we all are downloading that fast.

True, but UK ISP's are stopping major comapnies form European countries like Sweden who offer mega fast connections from coming and setting up in UK, and to think these UK ISP's who charge twice the price for a 4mb connection than the 100mb connection in Sweden only offer as much as 10mb!
