Safety of bridges

I have been hearing about a list of bridges that aren't up to standards since the collapse of the bridge in Minnesota. I was wondering if there is anything available to the public about which briges are on that list. The news reports say that the number is over 70,000 I believe and mentioned a few of them but I would like to know about some of the bridges in my area.

They are the same kind that collapsed in Minnesota.. They all have the same structor.. In my personal oppion here.. It's ok if anyone wants to disagree with me.. But the one that was in Minnesota that feel I didn't see any support in the middle and I think that is why this bridge collapsed.. I think if there was something in the middle to help hold it up this never would of happened.. As I said you can disagree with me, I'm ok with it..lol But did yous see the one next to that bridge another bridge with support to hold it up and that one has been there longer than the one that collapsed... I did see a picture of it that was take in July 1967 and the other one still stands.. This making any sense to anyone? I think the more support these bridges have the better chance they have from not collapsing.. Just my oppion here!!!

I heard someone say that same thing yesterday, that it was lack of support that caused it to collapse. I am not sure but I believe the man was in a bridge inspector himself that said this.

Here is the website of NBC10 that gives a list of the bridges which have the similar design as of the one in Minnesota that collapsed. http://www.nbc10.com/news/13818981/detail.html I believe they also list other bridges that are deficient that are not of similar design. There are many bridges that need repair or replacement, which will not happen overnight. Pennsylvania has thousands of deficient bridges. Hope that this helps.

OMG this is such a worry, it makes me wonder if even the building, some of those mega tall buildings are these up to standard as well when you think how easily the buildings crumbled in the NY terrorist attacks, it is a very frightening situation it is sad that people have to die to wake people up to what they are doing....

Yes it is. What really amazes me is that the Brooklyn Bridge has a 0 rating out of 100. The one that collapsed had 50. So many people travel the Brooklyn Bridge everyday.

Lately there are two bridges were fallen down in my country. I think it won't happen all the time, it is an accident.
