i agree that discussion should not be very long, but it can't be very short. so many mylotian, when they make any discussion or response they always do this because they want to make large number of discussions, they always go for the quantity not for quality. so for as my opinion is concern it should be meaningful at least of one paragraph, and knowledge full. so many people start discussions from only on line just like " what do u think about...", " do you know........" " what is...." etc. and some are use vulgarity. but i think quality discussions are markable.

It's very superficial to earn money by short discussing.
^_^,actually,I come here just wanna learn English. But,I always try my best to say everything that I could.I insist we should communicate by heart. At least,no trick,no inadvertence

hi Odlanor, yes i am agree but i am not going to force any body for quality discussion, its depends. but have got some experience that if we cant make quality discussion then we can not get quality and sufficient reply and when we can't get any reply then our discussion will not complete. and according to my says concern
"your discussion can be short or long doesn't matter, it should have be some quality and sense. it is beneficial for ourselves".

You make an excellent point. Unfortunately some people pump out 20 or 30 of those very short discussions in a day. Sometimes this is done by people who are new on Mylot other times by people who should know better. The idea is to have a quality discussion but you may have noticed the very shallow discussions get the most responses. I guess it is sad but it seems most people just want easy topics.

Yes I so agree and fortunately I picked my friends wisely here at Mylot and they are whom I respond to the most. They are all great at offering wonderful topics that really gets one to thinking and they do so by posting a discussion with meat to it. They include a question, facts, sources, and their opinions.
Now on slow days when I venture out onto the boards and looking for something to reply to, I happily skip by the one-sentence posts. To me they are here for merely points and could really care less what I post so I could careless what they post as well. :oD

Hi,karmendra!
I agree with your opinion. On Mylot.com,there are so many meaningless and simiar discussions.Though I prefer to read short disucssions but sometimes I don't post a respond to a discussion with just one sentence.
But Mylot.com is a paying earning website,so the direct purpose for Mylotters here is getting money. That's why there are so many nonsense discussions on here.

A lot of times if the discussion is one simple question I don't answer it. I think if you're asking for advice you should explain the situation. If you're asking a question that you don't know the answer to you should explain why it is you want to know the answer.
If you're asking an opinion you should give your opinion. It's nice to know why you're helping someone and/or what the opinion is of the person you're giving your answer to. Especially if you have different opinions you can watch how you word it so as to not offend.
I don't think it's that hard to make a good discussion and that's why I usually avoid simple questions.

yes i am also agree with you. but some times you will see some discussion is very short , but it has gud quality.
but for only earning money we should not start a one line or two line discussion, also we have to try to not give responce to discussion like that....

I agree some discussions are way to short and not clear on what the discussion is about. Then there are others that are so long and basically a job to read. If they can't grab your attention in the first few sentences you are not going to have many readers. Some discussions are started just to make some money and are very confusing really, "What do you like black or white?" There is not much you can write in response and you get very little credit for one word responses. I much prefer discussions that can be responded to with an ongoing discussion.
