Dear friend, I would like to know that how many of you are left handed? How many of you use their left hands to write and eat? If you are a left handed, do you execute your other tasks with your left hand, as well. One of my close friend is a left hander and I feel fascinated and attracted when I see someone writing with his/her left hand. I have read that the person who uses his left hand is governed by the right side of the brain and vice versa. I am a right hander however, I try to use my left hand while performing some of the tasks e.g. using key pad of my mobile phone...and locking a padlock..because I find it convenient to rotate the key in a padlock, with my left hand.
Thanks for your contributions in advance.

Hi Deepak! I am a right handed person. When was a kid, I try writing using my left hand, but to no avail. I can do more tasks 5 times using my right hand than my left hand. *hehe* But of course, I use my left hand more than my right hand in certain situation. For example, when I type in the keyboard, my left hand is the one who types more letter because my right one is the one that holds the mouse. :)
Take care and God bless! \(",)_

Thanks, Lyn for your reply. It would be better if you use both of your hands for typing.
smiles :) :)

At school when we had leisure time, we used to try writing in left hand, but it did not work. Some one or two of my friends succeeding in doing but that is only as a hobby. Another friend of mine would write english words in the reverse by taking dictation. I have come across a lot of people who write in left hand - it is from childhood, they are left handed persons.

Yes, you are right if a right handed person tries doing something say writing through his left hand...he faces difficulties. I read somewhere that if you are right hander and wants to learn new things...try using your left hand for writing...your mind would be diverted and your brain would become sharper.
Thanks for your reply.

Dear Deepak,
I am a right handed person in every possible way. I do all my active doings with my right hand. As a child, i was fascinated by the idea of being a lefty and was thrilled to find my friend doing all her stuffs with her left hand -writing, eating, brushing hair...i was amazed. Now, i know how the sinister and dexter side of our brains rule our priority in being a lefty or otherwise. even then, i must admit, i am still awed by the sense of difference.
Here, if i may add, i am glad that after much ado about performing etiquettes and formalities in public places(like that of shaking hands and praying)lefties are enjoying their freedom just as we righties do. I am glad that we have eventually realised it. Better late than never.
Thank You.

Thanks for your wonderful reply with interesting facts. I believe left handers are less in number, but some of them are sharper and brilliant than a normal right handed person.
I am a right handed, but try using my left hand for some of the activities.

Yes, I do. I am a lefty. I remember as a kid some people found it fascinating like you do that I use my left hand LOL, but I don't see the fascination with it. :P People are either left handed or right. Okay, so the majority of people seem to be right handed, but I still don't see what the big deal is about us left handed people. :P

Nice to know that you are a lefty...I believe you must be sharper and brighter in some of the activities you perform, in comparison to your right handed friends.
there is no big deal as such, but left handers are less in numbers, so I feel fascinated while observing them.
Thanks for your reply!

You are correct on hand and brain. My son is a left hander and my daughter is a right hander. My son even eat with left hand can you imagine? I think left handers are more brainy than a right hander. There are some people who are left handers by nature but with parental influence they do certain things right hand but rest all by left hand. My father is such a person. He rights and eats with right hand but do all the other work with left hand. If you feel that you can work better with the left hand, dont neglect or avoid it. polish your ability and you would be surprised when you start using your left brain and right brain together. Oh, i forgot, I had a friend at school, she could right with both hands. It is fascinating isnt it?

Thanks for your interesting reply with full of amazing facts. YOur son is lefty but your daughter is not. I try to use my left hand...but basically I am a right handed person. You must be very lucky to see a person, who could use both her hands, at your school.

I'm not but my Brother is and also a friend of mine is.... My brother tends to still use his right hand for doing tasks but favours the left as of course it is the most dominate hand.... I too become facinated with lefties, when ever I see someone writing with their left I always can't help but comment " oh are you left handed, cool" I find it strange watching them write it seems backwards...

I am completely right handed. So is my daughter. Half my family are left handed, in that my Father & brother are..
My husband is right handed, but his son is left handed.
A lot of left handed people can use their right hand for lots of tasks, as most activities are set up for right handed people.

No. I am a right hander. But I heard some people can write with both the hands. How convenient? When the right hand is paining, they can write the exam with left hand.

When I was in primary school, I write with both hands when I was punished to write
lines. I am right handed and so naturally I write better with my right hand. Thanks to my teacher who used to ask us to thousands of lines whenever we fail to give the
correct answer to her questions during lessons. Most of us under her are able to write with both hands, and she knows pretty well why we do it :)

No my friend I'm right handed too. But I usually practiced my left hand in somee other ways like when I'm typing most of the letters that are used almost are on the left hand and I manage to used both of my hands when I'm typing.
I have a friend to who is left handed, she used to eat also using her left hand.

Thanks, Lyn for your reply. I agree, for typing we have to use both of our hands, otherwise...it would become tedious to type.

I have always been right-handed and have the laziest left hand that you can imagine. It has barely any strength LOL! The only thing my left hand does on a regular basis that my right hand doesn't do to keep it active is changing gears when I'm driving!
My brother was left handed when he was a child and my dad made him right handed as he felt it was a problem to be left handed. I guess 30 or so years ago there was more stigma attached to being left handed. Nowadays people are actually impressed when someone is left handed! LOL

I am not left-handed, never been! I have always been right handed in my life and I tend to rely on my right part very often. I think I can't really handle things too well with my left hand *laughs*.
