turn into a small ball of self pity. you lie on bed, you hug your knees and keep them close like fetus.
Freud said: " It's human instinct to go back to the womb where we can feel safe."
what can you say about this? how about you, how do you manage it when someone broke your heart?

When someone breaks my heart, I will feel very lonely suddenly, as this person could be my most reliable and lovable one has betrayed and broken my heart. I cannot sleep and eat well. In the mean time, I need someone else can help me, advise me what I should do next. And I will feel insecure and don’t want to be on my own.

i cry.. hehe. that way i can be able to express my sorrow. i don't have any particular position in crying. i just cry and let it all out. if you keep too much sadness to yourself it can be very unhealthy. crying is a form of relief. but i'm too shy to cry in public so i just hide and cry secretly (like in the bathroom or in my bedroom). hehe ^_^

Isn’t that funny- when I’m sad or something is wrong with life I tend to go to my room and lay down- I feel comfort when I’m there with my blankets and pillows- If my daughter is having a hard time at something she does the same- Here I thought we were odd-

I have been very careful to ensure my heart will never be broken. lol. This being the case, it is not that I have not been heart-broken. I have a strong heart, it rebounds rather fast after a good cry and some self-talk. After few practices, natural resilience develops, and things become as natural as drinking water.

When someone broke my heart, I would love to stay on bed without doing anything and seeing anyone. I would lock myself in the room or go somewhere quiet for a better mood. I would try to forget it a.s.a.p in order not to get my normal life and work influenced.

Hello Bujoyseth,
When someone breaks my heart, I prefer to be alone in my room. I will cry the whole day and night and don't want to see anybody until I am fully ready to tell others why I was sad and avoiding people. I just need time to think and compose myself. But it won't take me that long to get back to my usual self. I will try to make myself busy with work so that I could forget about the past as soon as possible.

Yes friend. Heart break is a serious sickness which cause one to behave strange. It makes one do what he or she is not suppose to be doing and it makes us feel depress cos after puting all our trust and happiness, it become hurting. Thanks

call my mom, cry, then realize it was probably for the best and get on with my life... but then again my heart was only broken once and turned out I wasn't as upset as I should have been... we ended up good friends and now he is married with 2 step-kids, a baby, and a baby on the way

I guess so, yes. They say this kind of position, curling up into a 'ball' is for self protection. I do not remember quite well the other explanations but it applies to me.

I have never turned into a ball and hugged my knees like I was a fetus. or anything to that extent.
I like to sleep. When I'm sleeping I'm not thinking about what happened that day or whatever and when I'm really upset that's what I like to try to do. Sleep.
