Why doesnt he write back on myspace

OK so I have this friend on myspace we use to date like in jr.high he was my 1st love anyways we found eachother on myspace and he has wrote back 3 times and every time i send him a e-mail i dont get one back now should i just drop it or what it really makes me mad im not looking to fall in love with him or anything he was a good friend the werid thing is i told him i got married and have a son and the writeing stoped:( help please*should i just delete him on my friends list and forget about it
