My parents and grandparents are the one who gives me allowance. What they give me is not enough for my life style because of my spending habbits. I've been trying to stop this because I feel the need to stop spending and start saving. Soon I will be on my own and I still don't know how to manage my money and my addiction in shopping. What should I do? Can you share some tips in saving money? How can I control my addiction in spending money?

First of all, you need to let your parents and grandparents know that you need help. There are support groups for shopaholics. If you are honest with your parents and grandparents, they will be so supportive. Secondly, you need to make a budget. You figure how much you are bringing in and how much is going out, then you need to stay on that budget, if you don't, then there will be dire consequences. Thirdly, DON'T GET ANY CREDIT CARDS!!! I know that they sound like a great thing, but until you can get your spending under control, a credit card is not something that you need to get into. You will be so happy that you didn't fall into the credit card trap. You can find a support group for spenders online. The most important thing is to be totally honest with your parents and grandparents, it will surprise you how much they will support your decision to quit your addiction.
