I have one great friend (other than my hubby & immediate family). Through the years, my definition of "friend" has changed. Now my definition is someone I trust to care for my family, pets, home..if I should have to be gone for any length of time. Someone I trust to stand up for me when I'm not around and with me when I am. I am fortunate to have such a friend in Bev.
What is your definition of friend? Think about it carefully...and let me know how many you, honestly, consider fit that definition.

Lots of friend is better than one great friend. The reason is when at the future your great friend become your enemy, what can you do!And other situation with a lot of friend. We still have many friend if one of our friend start to hate us!
But in reality,True friend is hard to find than a thousand of temporary friend!

I had one Bhargavathi in my school days who stood by me throughout my school days and I very much want to see her now. The other was PS Bhuvaneshwari in college days. Then it was kalyani and sasikala in my office, who are my friends philosophers and guides even now. I thank God for giving them to me as close friends.

i think one real great friend must have the same hobbies and interest with you. And then both of them must understand each other and help each other.
When one meets hardship, the other have to help him out.
This is my brief defination of great friend.
