I found this in Care2 website. This site is all about saving our world, the people, animals, and plants in it. The article that I've just read is about a mother dog that swam a flooded river twice a day to care for her babies. In the morning she had to swim to the mainland to feed herself, then she would swim back in the evening to feed her babies in the evening and stay with them over night, feed them in the morning and then back to the main land. It is the most amazing story I've ever read so I thought I'd pass it on but since we can't copy and paste here I'm going to have to send you to it.
