I like dancing Jitterbug everyday. One day my friend asked me Is Jitterbug a kind of Latin dance or modern dance or social dance and I couldn't give her answer.I think the style is the combination of Latin dance and modern dace, what dou you think?

The Jitterbug has been around since the 1930's. It came out of the Swing era of music when the Lindy and East Coast Swing was popular.
There was a scene in "The Wizard of Oz" back in 1939 that was cut from the distributed movie, it was called the Jitterbug with a big dance number and song to match. I have an anniversary release of the Wiz of Oz that shows a lot of the scenes that were cut from the movie. It's too bad they didn't leave it in, it was pretty cool.
My mother taught me how to dance the Jitterbug when I was a kid back in the early 60's. I very much enjoy it.
I'm glad to see it never really disappeared all these years, even some of the disco dances of the 70's were based on old Jitterbug moves. I'm glad you enjoy it so much, it's a lot of fun and great exercise!

Yeah, I really enjoy the dance although Jitterbug in China may be a little different from that in the West since a dancer made some changes when he brought if into China
