Been getting ghostly visitors- what would you do?

I read tarot cards in a small shop- and this week I have had two uncanny experiences during the readings. A woman came into thebooth and sat down. A teen age boy was standing in front of her, but there was no room for him, I knew at once, he didn't need "room" and I asked her if she had a son about 18 and very tall. She nodded with a grim look and I said, did he not come with you on vacation? You're missing him aren't you? And she said he'd been deceased for several years now.
A young woman sat at my table wearing a sweet smile. She'd been at the beach and was obviously enjoying her vacation. But hovering around her i saw a woman with an urgent expression. I wondered should I mention this presence and perhaps spoil her lighthearted mood? I decided I ought to and began to describe the woman. Of course my visitor got tears in her eyes at once and I asked her if she knew who the woman was and she said "My mom. I lost her-" and I was able to tell her messages from her mother, I hope it was helpful to her, but I never really know whether to report these occuranceswhen people come for readings or keep them to myself. what would your preference be?

Hi arcadian! I would prefer that you tell me because if it's someone I dearly love and lost, then it would be happy news to know that they are still with me, watching over me. I am really amazed with people having special gifts like you. I wish I would have that kind of courage to see their presence and not just feel them somehow. :) Have a nice weekend...and hope to know more about your work.

I didn't know you read tarot cards! I bought a tarot deck a few months ago but never learned how to read them. It seems so complicated.
If you were doing a reading for me, I would want you to give me messages or occurences to me. I've often wondered if certain people were near me.

I'm so glad that you bought this subject up, as I have also bought a tarot deck recently and have only gotten as far as studying each card. Unfortunately, I stopped because the symbols on the cards were a complete mystery. But now, I feel that I'm ready to go back and move from just studying the cards to going on to read them. Btw, I turn 62 in September and my astrological sign is Libra.

well Scribe this has been a year of deep colors for you, hasn't it? I hope when your birthday comes in September it will be the start of a gentler rainbow. I meant to ask Katrinka, and I will also ask you - which tarot deck did you buy? Scribe, since you, I already know Katrinka does- like to read proven sources- you may consider some of Carl Jungs extensive work on the Tarot. Aleister Crowley was mad at the end of his life, but in his early years he did some brilliant work. I like the book I recommended because-consider each card has- in the book - a general interpretation, then a person, professional, spiritual group of interpretations, then he gives esoteric ones, some go on for pages, history of the symbolilsdm and on. The thing is not to memorize but to start to see. Best of luck.

I guess there is a lot to learn, I've been interested in tarot cards for so many years, I guess I didn't realize how much I've taken in on the subject. I'll be 66 this month and I started when i was eighteen-so.., your comments made me think about it. Here's a fantastic and thought provoking book for any curious tarot reader- The Crowley Tarot by Crowley and Harris, the author's name is (evidently) Akron-Hajo Banzhaf. Crowley and Harris presented a tarot design and interpretation of the cards, and Banzhaf put it in this format. It can be used to apply to any tarot design, but it interprets the individual cards on so many levels. As I said thought provoking. Don't memorize- simply seek to understnad the symbolism. Good luck. I'm available to help if I can- PM me.

I think this is a wonderful gift that you have.
And I understand you hesitating because while some would want to know for sure...other prefer to not know.
Personally, I would want to know. While I am sensitive in some areas...when the matter is personal, I can not seem to pick things up myself. So if someone else could aid me in these matters, I would be very happy to hear it!

First of all I think of being psychic as simply having another sense- like if many people seemed only to see in black, white and shades of grey and I saw in color- I would have had to come to terms with the fact that my parents where not quite on the mark as they would constantly correct my fersion of the world around me, there would be alot of bewilderment and even some fear- but in time I'd maybe hear of others who could see things only color variations make visible and so on- its really like that. I had to work through being taught that I was possessed by the devil, that I was unacceptable to the religion of my family, that although I knew alot of things ahead of time, I couldn't win the damn lottery (augh)- not to sound all pathetic- its just that its a way of seeing, nothing more.

Wow! What an experience. I have never gone to a reader or anyone who I could believe. Most of the time I get the generalized "You'll fall in love, oh you'll go through pain, you'll have kids give me my money" sorts of readers. So I honestly got to be unhappy with it all and don't go to those places anymore.
I've got so much going on in my life that if I ever expressed the things i see or feel or just... KNOW people would think I was loopy. Heck people probably already think I'm loopy lol. So i keep things to myself. I wish i could sit down and talk to someone who would at least listen and not roll their eyes. So yes, if you have a gift tell people what you see. People want to know that their loved ones are happy or more imporantly (and selfishly) they want to know that their loved ones are there.

A lot of people evidently who read professionally are scam artists. Clients are in need and ready to suspend disbelief so it is an easy group to cheat. It really is sad and god what terrible karma. No one with feeling would respond to you that way. If you put out to the universe your sincere desire for a counselor friend, you will be able to find one. I promise.

Holy moly...does it ever just plain freak you out to see these apparitions? It wouldn't to me, as I actually did see a spirit myself once and only once and I wasn't freaked out or afraid. But as for telling people that you actually see someone near the person..I guess it just has to depend--it seems though that the people you did tell of what you saw were in a sense glad that you could see them, like the woman where you described her mom to her...it no doubt gave her some comfort

Never at first- I mean when they speak or appear, whatever it always seems absolutely natural. then I realize and then I feel astonished. Yeah the mom-visit was a comfort to her- I think but it made her cry, and I mean the kid was on vacation, she was trying to relax and chill, but then again she came in for a reaading so I guess she wasn't that much in search of a semi-snooze. What's the story of the öne-time"you saw a spirit? I bet it was more than one time, too.

I would tend to think that there is a reason that the visitor was there. They wouldn't come and let themself be known if it wasn't some unfinished business. I also read tarot but never in a professional means, always just for friends. I am not as sensative to see things like this, but I would let them know what I saw.

This reminds me of the times that my 92-year-old aunt told me that she has seen my recently-deceased dad (her brother) and sister. My aunt spoke about seeing them as though they were alive in the physical world and happened to drop in as visitors. In other words, my aunt accepted what she had seen and seemed to be comforted by her experiences.
I told my aunt that those loved ones were trying to let her know that they were fine on the Other Side. I hope that I said the right thing, as it is something that I truly believe, and wondered why I couldn't have seen my dad. Maybe my aunt is more psychic than I am or will ever be.

my opinion about this is that you ave to tell eerything to the people who com to you to read because thsi is why they are coming right?
it is good o know that are real tarot readers in this life because a lots of them are just for no reason, they don`t know anything they just guess ing

Your enthusiasm sure is a pick-me-up. Some people come in saying "tell me everything"'and others say "I'm so scared--" so I have to be a little bit psychic to guage what they are there for. I joke alot with people -last night a lady whose mom lives with her and is a tyrant- was into see me. I saw the mom's card in the reading and siad woo your mom lives with you, lucky you and I started to laugh, and the lady looked at me puzzled and I said She's not easy not a bit, so what you'd really like is to be able to go visit her- and then she caught my meaning and we both had a good laugh. I knew if I just said wow your mom is a real b**** and get her out of there, she would have defended her mother and all that. Because she is a really good soul. But the thing is we don't see the future too often because we would not put one foot in front of the other most of the time, if we knew more about where we are heading.

Ah, I suppose I'm lucky. I can't hear ghosts, only see them.
I might talk about seeing them, but only in my journal blog.
I don't envy people who ghosts leave messages with, it can be a tough job..passing such stuff on. I'd do it if it was my "job", you know..if I could hear them. 'Cause I feel it's only right...we don't know how hard it was for the deceased to find someone to leave the loved one a message, or how hard it is for them to leave the message period, after all.

Not gifted, not special. Just me. Anyone who needs some sort of help is welcome to ask. I have no special insight. But I will say there are alot of psychics on mylot. If it does help I am setting up a website ( I read on line, now) of my own to do readings and offer things that would be helpful in concjunction. Stay tuned.;D

I would prefer to know if someone was with me. Honestly, I've always wanted to have a reading, but never went through with it because I always thought the readings weren't real. But it sounds as if you are real and you should share your visions with your visitors.

thank you, if you do decide to get a reading ask around.Someone you know, probably a couple of people you know have had readings and can tell you honestly whether the reader was legit. But you have to feel it all out for yourself. Use the same good sense you use when you purchase a product or hire a service of anykind.

what an experience you have there....whoa...very interesting.
if that was me in their position, i'd prefer you tell me because it's a good thing to know that these people are still around me (that is if they're loved ones)and looking after me.
of course, it'd be another thing if they're just random spirits. but still, they might be tugging along because they needed my help or something.
so bottomline, yeah, i;d prefer being told.
btw, i admire your gift. =)

Most of the time- spirits are there with encouragement or words of love for the person they surround. Usually i can tell people about it because the words include a pet name they had for that individual or a cherished joke- that kind of thing. So it is very rewarding all arounde.

Wow, I stumbled on a discussion 11 months old. That really spooked me. I have seen angels, my own guardian angels, but have never seen ghosts and I don't think I would like to. :(
If you were doing a reading for me though, I think I would prefer if you told me someone else close to me was around at the time so I would know. Perhaps I have unresolved issues with these people. Who knows.

hmmm...you have a gift!!! a really wonderful gift and i think you should be honored you have the ability to see people who are not physically present but in spirit.
if you were to do a reading for me and there are spirits looming over me, i'd prefer if you told me so i would know my the hair on my nape are standing on end! i can sense when some creatures "unlike us" around...sometimes i can see them but most of the time i don't but i just "feel" that they are around...
if i had your gift, i'd be thankful. :D

I've only had two ghostly experiences and they were both really bad ones. I do wish I could see and interact with the good spirits that way I have "people" to talk to when I'm feeling lonely. That would be really nice. I have The Rider Tarot Deck (it's in a yellow box) and I don't know if that's a good one or not. I got it at the mall in a bookstore once and my grandmother said that my aunt was into that stuff and that it freaked her (my grandmother) out lol. I've never been in an occult store before and I don't even know where to begin to look for one.
