I just wanted to share a photo of my best buddy here. he is Buster my Beagle mix. he is 6 years old and spolied rotten. I have taught him many tricks in the 18 months I've had him. I can snap my fingers and he will lay down immediately. he will sit for a treat. he will dance also. he also sits when I play fetch till I say okay. My dad also feeds him EVERYTHING that he eats for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Buster is very fond of oatmeal and eggs. he really loves fudgesicles as well. He eats a lot of different fruits and veggies as well. I love his green glow in his eyes at night or with a flash of light in them. Cool looking I think. Anyhow I just wanted to show off my buddy here. Thanks in advance.

Aww Grandpa Bob thanks for introducing Buster - he is gorgeoous! I don't have a dog cos I couldn't give it the exercise it needed but I do love them. I bet he adores you and tries to protect you all the time? Glad to know that you love him just so much! xxx

I've shared stories here before about Buster. I just got into a discussion starting frenzy tonight. HAHAHA. I started a few in the winter as he loves running and jumping in the snow banks. He doesn't protect me. He barls loudly at a stranger then wants to be petted by them after he's done howling etc. Hahahaha! I've got scars on my arm from him that I'll have ALL my life. Guess I played a little too rough for him when I first got him. Actually it was him that was rough but a little scolding, a trip into his kennel for a few hours and a smack on his nose did the trick. He has yet to get that rough again. tee hee hee!

Aw--Buster's sweet...I've never had a dog bit cats all my life..if I did ever have a dog, there are a few types I would love to have..and a beagle is one of them...my great=grandparents had a beagle named Gypsy...and she was the sweetheart of the house...I wasn't even born yet...but I still have old photos of my grandparents and Gypsy faithfully sitting nearby them

Thats a nice looking dog you have there Grandpa Bob. I love dogs. I have five of them. They don't listen as well as yours does.lol. But I can't imagine life without them. They bring me much happiness.

I'd be lost without my Buster also. He is like a child to me now. I let him sleep with me if I sleep on the couch. But he is seldom allowed in the bedroom. I hate the dog hair all over is why. yet I let him on my couch to sleep with me. We keep the couch and loveseat covered so we don't have the hair to clean up. Take it off and replace it washing the first. Over and over and over. HAHAHA! Thanks also. Buster thanks you as well with a big loud shrill HOWLLLLLL!

My guys are very disappointed they did not warrant a comment from granpa bob or buster. They kept asking me to come back and see if if buster said any thing. Sadly after all the hard work posing and all that I have to tell them that granpa bob come back and responded to others but not to them. Adios granpa bob!

I am very assertive. Plus I have the deep bellowing voice that
animals listen to and don't like hearing it a lot. HAHAHAHA!
He loves hearing me say, "Buster want a treat?" HAHAHAHA!
Runs like the dickens for those treats.

That is such a cute Beagle. I love those dogs, they are so mellow. A lot of my friends and neighbors have Chihuahaus and I hate those dogs, they bark all the time and they look like rodents.

I think Biuster is wonderful. I am prejudiced, because I had a beagle mix many years ago. They are very devoted dogs.
I laughed at what he eats. My dalmation eats any old thing, the rotten cat food, fruit & any left overs. Except salad.
Your Buster must be quite clever too, learning all those tricks. None of my dogs have learnt tricks, but then no one has had the time to really try.

My daughter and son-in-law were over yesterday as he finished the gutters for us. We had a BBQ for dinner. Hamburgers with a sald and tuna noodle salad also. Buster ate some shredded carrots and shredded red cabbage and also a coule cherry tomatoes. HAHAHA I am sure he got some burger from one of the family as well. I have a dog that loves salads as well. HAHAHA.

Very cute Grandpa, I had a beagle mix when I was younger for 17 years. She was by far the best dog I ever had. She was black & white and we called her Ebony. I loved that dog. My dog now is the second best I have ever had, and I have had dogs all my life. She is only 2nd to my dearly departed Ebony. i will share her pic here because i think she is gorgeous!!!

Isn't it great to have a companion when you go and do your gardening? I have Petie and the cats. When I go out side so do they. Abigail soakes her front feet in the swimming pool she looks so funny when she is soaking her feet. She tends to soak her feet after I chew her out for clawing my furniture. LOL I think she gose to soak when she is sulking. LOL

If I take Buster outside when I do my gardening it's usually a half hour delay before I begin doing anything at all. First he has to have me chase him around. He feels I need the exercise I think. Then of course he grabs all his balls, tennis balls, goldballs, baseball, and his rope and ball toy. Making me toss it. Then he runs after it. then runs right past it. Then I have to retrieve it myself. Sounds like he has me trained well huh? HAHAHAHA!!

Thats a cute beagle you've got there. my cousin thats stayed with me before used to own one. Its was such a rascal. and she had such a difficult time trying to train it. Its would go potty anywhere he want and loved jumping on the couch and chewing at her shoes. i guess perhaps because it was less than a year old at that time. In the end she couldnt handle it and returned it to her then boyfriend (twas a gift from him). Ever since then, ive kinda shied away from beagles and got a shih tzu instead. :)

well hello to buster! i too have my greatest buddy ever..his name was Raggy, he is a mix terrier of a color gray..he loves to eat everything i am eating..he too has a glowy green eyes in the dark its always seen..here is his photo grandpa

Awww - thanks for sharing his photo. I am not so much of a dog person as you know - you know me and cats - but Buster is certainly very handsome, and I'm sure he makes a great and loyal friend and companion for you.

Thanks Grandpa Bob for sharing Buster with us. He's such a cute beagle, gotta love him! Has he started sitting on top of his doghouse like a WWI flying ace shooting down the Red Baron? No, guess that's a different Beagle I'm thinking about... (Snoopy.)

Very cute!! How awesome that he's trained so well. Beagles seem to be a bit hard headed. I saw that you like to give him fudsicles. Just a word of caution, chocolate is poisonous to dogs. It builds up in their system and will eventually kill them. :o(

Your dog is very cute. A friend of my family has 4 of them. He loves beagles. They are always so friendly. I myself have a big dog. My dog is a Syberian Husky. He has those Ice Blue eyes and he is so beautiful. He's 4yrs old and still acts like he's just a pup. He does many tricks and he listens pretty well. Most of the time ..ha ha... He will also eat just about anything, but he doesn't like peaches. LOL...

Dog is people's best feiend.and in the west almost every family has a dog ,even more .while in china,people like t eat dog.although dog is also believed as people's friend,maybe that's the difference between the east ang the west.
