Do you know any home remedies that really work for inducing labor?

i saw on "A Baby Story" this lady drank Castor Oil. I'm not sure how much but I know it made me have the runs as well so I know that doesn't sound too appealing but I think it worked for her.

I don't know about any home remedies, but I have heard that if you walk that sometimes helps to get you going into labor. My niece walked around the track 10 or 12 times, and the next day went into labor. Now, I do think that is a bit much though.
Congratulations on your baby!!!

hey jbb316,
No matter what anyone says Do Not try drinking castor oil when I was pg w/ my first son my sister told me to drink it to bring on the delivery but it didn't work-it tasted HORRIBLE & it only made me sick as a dog (after drinking three whole bottles|:X) I did walk alot, my Momma took me shopping & parked at the end of the parking lots & that night I went into labor.Good Luck to you & congrats on your new addition!

Some swear that codliver oil works. You mix some in with some orange juice or other juice. It is used to relieve constipation and therefore will start up contractions. I haven't used this method but I have heard from several that it does work....can't hurt to try. Personally, I believe the baby will arrive when he is darn good and ready. congratulations!
