Did you ever end up seeing it? It is a really good movie, in part because Anne Hathaway studied everything ever written by Jane Austen that is still around, including letters and such. She even learned to play piano for the role.

Actually is a quite successful movie. I have heard of Jane Austin for long, and become a fan of her before I entered university. Pride & Prejudice is almost one of the best novels that I ever read, and it had been popular in my middle school years, now is still popular in my campus, though the author lived so many years before us. As a lady, she didn't go out much, but got the most humorous idea. And the movie is interesting, for the smart heroine and the handsome hero.

i totally agree. i think jane austen was a treasure and becoming jane was certainly a good story about her life. although, it was sad and she could not be with the man that she loved, she was able to showcase herself as a great female author, especially during her time period, when women were better seen and not heard.

I have seen the movie 'Becoming Jane', with Anne Hathaway. I absolutely loved it! I thought Anne Hathaway did an amazing job, portraying Jane Austen. I love reading Jane Austen, which is why I wanted to see 'Becoming Jane' in the first place. It was really enjoyable to see a little more of the life of the author. Her life, as we see it in the movie, helped me understand the stories of her novels better.

I really enjoyed this movie. I am a big fan of her novels in movie form. I see all of them and when I heard about this one, I knew I had to watch. I was not disappointed at all. A beautiful story and everything about the lady writer both touched and inspired me. I do wish it had had a happy ending but don't we all? :)

I just finished watching the movie and imediately played it again!! I love Jane Austin and I too wish she had a happy ending to her own life like so many of her charactors did. I'm also a fan of her novels that made it to movie, however I thought the original and the Colin Firth version of P&P were the best. I'm not a Kira Knightly fan and I thought that took away from Elizabeth Bennetts charactor. Thats just my personal opinion though.
