I have been with my hubby for 17 years...married 16. When we were first together I quote the phrase: "I will love you more today than yesterday...but less than tomorrow. To me that means that with each passing day there would be more to learn and experience together and therefore my love would deepen.
The less than tomorrow part comes with knowing that there will be even more within all our tomorrows than there is in the present. So having said all that our experiences in love are ever changing. As we grew..the relationship grows. As we change...the relationship changes...but through it all our love deepens and expands because it also fosters our spiritual and human development.
So in my view change is good...it keeps life fresh and creates opportunities to release what doesn't work...and implement new things that are aligned to who we are in the present. Without that I think relationships can get stale pretty fast.
