Each person has his own aim or ambition in life. Someone wants to be very rich man, some famous, some stay at ease as the life moves. But I think the person who has a particular aim can succeed in life. I have an aim but it is not fully fulfilled till now. What about mylot friends? Do you have some aim? How many of you got the desired aim in life?

My aim keeps changing, and thus can never really fully be fulfilled. Each time I reach one goal I find more. =P
When I was young my goal was to escape my abusive family: I did that.
For a long time my goal was to meet someone who would love me despite my bad history: I did that.
My goal then became to find a job that I enjoyed: I did that, although currently I'm off work because of illness, on medical leave.
My goal when I was pregnant was to survive to have my son despite all the health problems I had during pregnancy: I did that.
So what are my goals now? To be a good mother, a good wife, to have better health, to get back to the job I like... but those are all goals that are going to take a lot of time, or in some cases, be a lifelong thing. =)

I am not a very ambitious person..usually the lazy, easy-going type. But now that I have a son, its my desire (or ambition) to arrange for as much money as within my means, for his education and future. Times are very difficult and gone are the days when your parents leave you a tidy bit and somehow pass your life. Higher education is becoming very very expensive and since my son has some ‘brains’ in him, I would not like opportunities to go waste because of lack of money. Even if he fails to attain a respectable livelihood through education, I would still like to arrange for some kind of business for him so that he may not have to go through financial difficulties. I am saving every penny for that.

Well,I had an aim or rather an ambition but now all my ambition is vanished off.Nowadays I am going through a very situtation where I just cant think about me.But,if God's will is there than I will may be little late.

I'm 31 and yet I'm still so far away from my ambitions. Maybe my goals are too high and not realistic. I'm certainly gonna try.
But at the end of the day all I want is to be able to take good care of my loved ones, be able to help those in need. I would be very happy to accomplish that.

I would like to be a celebrated, if not famous writer. I would also like to be a wife and mother. However, there are many other things that I would like to accomplish. I do not feel like it is possible for me to do all that I want to do in this life, I have far to many interest. So rather than get overwhelmed I take it one day, one step at a time.

Don't ever think an aim is impossible to reach. You can reach it if you are confident and try wholehearted. But taking aims step by step is good and only choose those ambition or aims which you feel you can reach with your financial and surrounding conditions. Don't feel lost if you can't fulfill one, go for the next. Try until succeed. Thanks for response.

Great question. I have many aims I would like to reach, one of them which I've reached recently was to be my own boss and I have done that. My ultimate aim is to retire young with enough money to help others and to not having to work but having money coming in through investments. I'm not greedy. Like you've said, aims are important, it provides one with a purpose for living and happiness. Good luck to you.

I have a dream for my life that is to run my own company.
However, I guess that the aim of my life is not only to fulfill this dream but to live a happy life.
You know, there is a comparison: life is like coffee while job,status,house,car...are like the cup. The cup is necessary to hold the coffee but it cann't change its quality. Thus, I believe that we shouldn't try our whole life to aim to get a better cup ending that we forget to taste the coffee inside.
