I know in this jet set world online cards are no match as comapre to itas snail mail counterpart...still does nurse a nostalgia of the paper cards with the writing and drwaings that are specialy made for you from your beloved, friends, children.
I feel it has got a more personal touch than the onlien version.
But having said so, I can recall only one incedent during last year where i have sent only one paper card as compared to 25...um..50...150... ecards.

I used both. I send e-cards for such occassion as Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Easter. However, I send out paper cards for Birthday and Christmas. To me, it means more to do the real traditional way of sending a personal greeting. I like to receive birthday cards, and Christmas cards. For other holiday, it's not that personal, just fun.
