I am sure my friends could remember my earlier discussion on "how many of you live in your own house" and the one on my very bad tenants. Last month we were able to chase away those tenants and after refurbishing the house and convincing (my parents) we moved to our house yesterday. My kids are overjoyed. We have a little bit of land in front and back where we can grow something. This is a very nice feeling my friends, that i just cannot explain. Yesterday, we had dinner and while i was tending to last minute kitchen work, i was thinking, God, this is MY kitchen. When i went to bed i prayed to God for all the people who do not have a house and who sleep on pavements.

One will never find comfortable living in a rented house. The joy of living in own house cannot be explained. It gives immense peace of mind and that peace allows one to work and concentrate on what one wants to do. Have a nice day.

You are right SSH. Last night i realized this fact. Earlier, i thought, this would be very difficult. But now i understand how good this is. Only, i pity my parents. But they are all the time with us, so its not that bad.

Although this is an old discussion, Sheri I can only say that I am absolutely delighted that finally you are in your own home. It is good that you managed to rid yourself of those awful tenants, as they were not the type of people you want in your home. Now that the house is refurbished and the way you want it, I am sure you will all be very happy. A place where your children can play safely rather than on the streets is just too wonderful. I am certain that they are very happy to have their own patch of land. I am so excited for you Sheri, as you get the house just as you want it plus plant whatever you want in the garden - no matter how large or small that might be too. Your parents will still be close by and I know that they will still play a very active part in your life, and particularly that of your children. My heartfelt congratulations Sheri on attaining what you want with your home. I do hope to catch up with you soon Sheri, and take care my friend.

Yes it is a nice safe feeling having a nice cozy home to be in and I too feel sorry for those who haven't got a home it must be awful, I started paying off my first home when I was very young, I am thankful for that now because that I have been made redudant I don't have to worry too much as at least I have a roof over my head and a nice warm bed.

I know. A roof over the head is a pretty basic need for a human. I have a friend, who is going on renting houses, every year they have to pay an enormous amount of money as advance. If you have a house, i think 75% of your worries vanish.
