Returned goods…

I bought a book entitled “The Devil Wears Prada” by Lauren Weisberger by mistake. I thought that I have not read it yet but then when I got home I realized that it’s the movie that I have not yet seen and not the book. This presented a little problem to me. I wanted to return the book right away but then it was already late and I was already tired. I told myself to return it the following day, a Sunday but for some reason or another I was not able to go back to the bookstore. I was able to go to the store a week after I bought it and I was a little apprehensive because they might not allow me to. Good thing the manager let me return the said book after I had a lengthy explanation on why I had to return it. So what about you, have you ever returned some goods that you bought?

I have actually returned some things that I have bought a number of times but it was found defective or lacking by me after I made the purchase. It is very good of the manager to accept your reason. It was more than accommodating and laud them for it.

Yes, it was a good thing the manager understood my 'plight' LOL! I did not plan to insist should they not accept my explanation. After all, it is my fault. So there, I was just so happy they allowed me to exchange the book even if they said it's just for that one time.

Have not returned the item and got the payment back. We have had several experinced on exchanging goods for so many reasons, like the size doesn't fit or we decided we want a different color. I hate arguing with storeclerks so as much as possible I don't return goods. I salute you for doing it..honestly If I were in that situation, I won't return it anymore.I'll prbably cry a bit and blame myself for a week for buying that wrong item. :)

LOL! I did consider not returning the book and thought of just giving it away as a gift. It's just that I felt so stupid and I was thinking about the cost of the book, I saw another novel with the same price tag which I also wanted to buy but instead I got the one which I have already read-Ugh! So I told myself I will just try to exchange it, if the bookstore does not agree then I will accept it, after all it IS my fault.
