My hubby and I tell each other often throughout the day. We live and wor together and in our life ooaching with others we see how easy it is for couples and even friends to take each other for granted.
In our relationship we do our best to communicate our feelings openly and honestly and sharing loving feelings is a big part of it.
We celebrate our monthly anniversary of the day we met and usually try to do something to commemorate it.
We also have a gathering and renew our vows every 5 or 7 years...it is our way of celebrating our love and the friendships we hold most dear. We have been through a lot of challenges and changes during our 17 years together...but we nurture our love and that helps us get through anything.

I want to say those words everyday to him but we feel if it is said so often we will lose the magic in it. So I've decided to say it not so often, but show the love with my doings. So far it works, and whenever I say "I love you", it really comes from the heart and it feels so luxurious and rich.

this discussion is not necessary for true lovers...
if they love their hubby/wife so much then they need not express their love in words rather than they can express it with mutually understanding and commitments..

Every day for the last 8 1/2 yrs that we've been together, both of us have said it at least once. It never gets old, it always feels genuine and even if we're arguing we never go to bed without saying it.
I can't imagine a day without it.
