The Bridge (money has nothing to do with it)

If you intend to read this discussion, I expect you to READ it. I am sure anyone who hasn't been in a cave the past week has seen the bridge that collapsed in Minnesota. If you have just watched the news just one time in this week period, you have probably heard some dunderheads saying that we need more money to rebuild our nations bridges, roads, etc. I am here to inform the masses that the lack of money has absolutely nothing to do with the bridge falling. My fellow Americans do you realize that out of hard earned money (excluding you all that don't get out of bed) that the federal government collects $3 Trillion dollars a year. The federal government profits more off of every gallon of gas than Exxon Mobile (13.8 to 8 cents a gallon). Then if you added up all the state and local taxes on gas, car registration, and car licensing fees, we could repair every single bridge in America. It is not a lack of money that our government face, it is actually 2 things: a lack of spending control, and workers. We spend way too much money on things that don't deserve to be spent on. Less than 1/6th of the federal government budget is spent on national defense, i.e the Iraq war. There is still 5/6th of that $3 trillion dollars left for everything else. For us to be able to repair every single bridge as some are suggesting, we wouldn't just have to keep all the illegals in our country but we would have to ask for more. We must have common sense in these difficult times.

After reading your discssion,I see the problems in US. In my eyes, US is a country full of beautiful things. It is perfect.US people must be happy, and have a sense of well-being and satisfaction. But I konw now, everything has two sides. We shouldn't always blame our country. In our country,in my city, the roads and bridges are built well. However, there still many other problems here. Sometimes, we are always blaming, which makes us unhappy, not pleased with our life. But I've learned that the most important thing in our life is to choose to be happy.

The problem is States would rather us the money to build stadiums and such that will make more money, rather than spending it on repairs to bridges. It's ridiculous IMO.
Secondly I am so sick of this bleeding heart propaganda that there aren’t enough Americans that want to work. Hogwash! Go check out temp services, they are packed with people trying to find work. Go look at your local unemployment office and see the Americans looking for jobs. Then before that, open your eyes and look at the Americans all around you that do hold jobs. These bridges weren’t build by illegals but hard working Americans. Good grief this county would not have gotten as far as it has if we Americans didn’t do the work!
