Advertising Standards ???

I have just noticed lately the advertising on television. Adds about smoking are sad, gloomy and disgusting at times, but adds on Obesity are happy cheery with catchy dittos..Why would they do this, they are both bad for your health, they both can kill you..In cases they both can be self inflicted...Whats your views on this ??

May be obese people look jolly good and it has been a practice always to make fun of the fat.

They are making it a happy episode to lose weight, why not do this for quitting smoking.

An obese person's picture before and a picture after losing weight looks so attractive and stands as a proof of health.Physically you cannot see the benefits of non smoking.One has to feel it.You cannot put a before and after picture.So they choose the oobvious.
