Did you go on a borrowing spree when you were nearly broke?

Yesterday, I went home exhausted, smelly and demoralized after a whole day of going around looking for someone who can lend me money for my tuition. Almost everyone had excuses, saying they had bills to pay and debts to hide from. I was so down yesterday, because if it wasn't an emergency, I would not have to beg from my relatives.
i resolved last night that whatever the circumstances maybe, I will focus on finishing my studies so that my children will not go on a borrowing spree when they get to college(Talk about forward thinking).

I have been raised to be very independent and I have never gone on a borrowing spree because I could not handle the rejection and I know that. i don't know your situation but have you considered student loans? You would not have to pay back until after you are done and the interest rate is really low. I lent money to my nephew that I know i will never see back to help him in his college education. When all else failed, he took out a student loan. He is not obligated to pay it back until a year after he graduates. He also works to pay for his needs beyond school. If you want y our education bad enough , I'm sure that you w ill find a way...good luck to you.

In the Philippines, student loans here generally comes in the form of aids from relatives abroad or hand outs from local relatives. I mean, a Filipino student cannot apply for a student loan here from the Commssion on Higher Education because of the scarcity of funds or it is not student loan program, it is study now, pay later plan. This program isn't intended for everyone, very limited number of applicants are given priority here.
That explains my problem. So i have to hunt for a parttime job or else, I'll be out of campus and out in the streets some day...

I'm sorry. I didn't look at what country you were from before posting. that is sad. It is to everyone's benefit that those who qualify and desire get a good education. Here in the states I guess we are lucky for most people that want an education it is relativly easy ...expensive but they work with you. No wonder people come to this country for education.

Yes I do: I spend a lot: Mostly by instincts - thats y I get broke every other month. And then, to maintan my regular expenses, I never leave anyone who I think will help me. Of course, I get money from people who (try to) misuse me and my talents.
But survival is almost impossible without borrowing. Even as that person said "Loans"; Is that not a form of borrowing, that too with interest payable?
