Online Jobs full-time?

I've been looking into jobs that I can do from home, online, full-time in place of the traditional 9-5. The job market where I live has been rough for the last few months despite being qualified, myself along with others that I know, have lost their jobs and have not been able to find new work. So I decided I had to do something, 1) because I need $$$$$ 2) I've got debt to pay off 3) I like pretty shinny things 4) I'm going nuts not working!! I've been looking into real legit jobs that one can do.
Now I understand that when you work from home you are a contract worker as such you are your business and there are costs involved such as registering your business (one way around this if you're in the USA is to use your name as your business name then you can use your ss# as your business tax ID # and you don't have to register), supplies, office equipment, business lines, internet access, etc. I don't have money to invest however I got a little side job (babysitting basically) that will give me a little bit to use towards this.
Some of the jobs I've been looking into are VA (Virtual Assistant) wich is an Administrative Assistant (I've got 7 years experience in this field) only virtually, so you do your work via internet, phone and fax. I've looked into medical transcription as I've got medical translation and secretarial experience but you've got to take a class that costs way too much and then find your own clients. Granted as a VA you find your own clients too but no class. I've looked into Coastal Vacations, kinda like a travel agency but with lot packages vs single vacations. I want to look at a regular travel agency from home and I've looking into selling baby quilts as well. Right now I think the VA thing suits me the best but I need more information and really want to look into the travel agent thing as well.
Do you have a full or part time job online? What is it and how'd you discover it?

I work full-time in an office now but I have resigned and therefore I will be jobless for a few months before moving onto another career opportunities. Since I make up my mind of taking a rest for a few months, I am wanting to work on something online and have some money coming in too! But it's not popular around where I live and all I could rely on is to work on my website and on mylot, which the payment is less than satisfactory (still better than nothing I would say). I have read something in the states about being at-home telemarketer or customer service person, maybe you could try those too! Wish you very good luck!

Great & thanks, you'll love it. You even get to start your own clubs or have a blog, make layouts and allow others to use them. All kinds of stuff, I love it!

I'm a big fan of www.wahm.com. I left a job a few years ago and another friend who works from home suggested I check them out. There is a huge network of women who work from home for one reason or another and there are lots of legitimate opportunities you can check out. I started a blog because of this website and have earned some money doing that. I just began working as a real estate agent and they even have a folder for that. Good luck to you.

It is a good site. I didn't know they offered real estate information as well, I've been trying to urge my mother to pursue a career in that field as she's always thought of it but never actually did it. I'll have to send that over to her.
Thanks and good luck to you in your new real estate adventure!

It's a pleasure to actually meet someone that thinks its OK to invest into building a home business. I run across so many people that want to make money but don't what to invest in it whether time or money. I'm working with an awesome Company I've got the information on my blog. It's broken down in three areas but the business information is under the Work at Home area. There's an email address there also if you have further questions or want to know more about it.

Thanks, I'll take a look at that. I think expecting a business to flourish without expecting to invest any effort into it is going into something totally blind. Any business will only give you what you put into it.

hi! i read you mention medical transcription, i have been planning to start a career in that direction,... you're right, one need to study first before ever got a job, though i'm familiar with the medical terms since i'm a graduate of medical technology...
i subscribe to mtdaily, they send me a list of job opening weekly, but most require a minimum of one year experience as a hospital transcriptionist before you can work at home transcriber. another problem is some do not accept offshore applicant, i live outside US...
but the trade is very promising,, esp here in our country

I'm soo envious of those who are earning thousands of dollars through online activities.. Too bad I'm not from those countries who offers lot of freebies and cash particularly U.S. Also, I am still in college that is why I dont really need a full-time job either online or at work.. Best of luck to all of you.. Hope you share all your blessings.. As of this time, I'm still doing anything I can to earn some bucks online. ",) thats pretty decent for me.
