when I arrived at home the first thing that I do is talking to my children, and usually when I arrived they just run to me, laughing and said mommy... mommmy. and how about you, what the first thing that you do after arriving at home?

I stretch out on the couch and relax. I ask my daughter to fix me and my fiance a nice hot cup of coffee, and together we sit and enjoy the first few minutes of being home. Like you, the kids would gather around us and we would talk about things that happened while we were away. Sometimes it would seem like we were away from each other for ages! I guess it's because we're so close to one another that being apart for a few hours is like being apart for such a long, long time. For us, there is definitely no place like home.

the first thing i do is turn on the television in my room then change my clothes. after a few minutes of rest, i go to the bathroom to wash my face and brush my teeth. then, lie down for a while as i watch my favorite tv shows until i feel like hitting the sack.

The first thing I would do as soon as I reach home is to put away my shoes into the shoe rack. Afterwards I will change my clothes into a home attire or anything that makes me feel more comfortable. If it is night, I would straight away prepare for dinner. If it is only evening, I would prepare some evening tea. Later I will sit together with my husband in front of the television. We will relax and enjoy the show as well as the evening snack.

When I get home, I go to my room and change my clothes, then I lay down or read for ten or fifteen minutes. After allowing myself a transition period to go from high pressured career woman to grandma, I go downstairs and spend time with my grandkids.

Yes, even the first thing I do when I get home is look on my child. If he is still sleeping, then I wake him up, cuddle him and make him sit for his studies. Otherwise if he is already awake, he will come running to me. He calls me mummum, he will hug me and then say he is hungry, what have I got for him and such other child talk. Then I will take my bath, and together we will sit with his studies.

Take my clothes off. In fact, my sons and I all do that the minute we walk in. It's not like it sounds I mean, we all hate being bound and dressed and uncomfortable. So they change down to shorts (my 21 year old just goes down to his boxers!) and I will change into a T or tank and stretchy shorts or yoga pants. Then I will do whatever I have to do.
