Do You Go on Vacation Each Year?

I was just thinking that it has been 15 years since I went on a vacation. I've had offers, but I seem to always make excuses. I really enjoyed my last vacation, so I don't know why I'm so hesitant. Do you go on a vacation every year? What are some of the places that you've visited?

I wish I had the money to go on vacation every year. The last time I went on a vacation was when I was still in highschool in Nevada, and that was to go see my grandmother in California.

That's a nice idea, and I know it don't have to cost a bunch of money, but basically just needing a vacation from Kentucky in general. Don't get me wrong some of the people here are great people to know, but it seems as of lately a bunch of jerks have moved in, and I'm tired of dealing with them on nearly a consistant basis.

It really doesn't have to cost much money, jeweled. All you have to do is get away from the daily grind. Pick a lovely inn in your are for a weekend-it would be heavenly!

I've heard that Australia is a very beautiful place, Calais, so I don't think I would need to go elsewhere either if I lived there. We have some beautiful places here also.

You've visited some great places, Raven. Travel to different places can be so much fun. You get to see all kinds of people and do all kinds of things.

I try to take a vacation every year, mostly I head to the beach, either here in Texas or the state I was born in Florida, usually it is pretty cheap to head to Florida since I have family and friends there and can always find a place to stay. But it is always nice to be at the beach, I find it so peaceful and relaxing.

Yes, texas, that is the whole purpose of having a vacation-peace and relaxation. How lucky you are to have two such nice places to vacation in.

You are truly blessed to have your family around you, 3lilangels. I hope that you will soon be able to move into a new home and enjoying it. Like I said before, a vacation doesn't have to require a lot of money. It's all in the mindset.

We rarely go on a true "vacation" but we used to travel a lot with our hockey teams. We've played hockey in WV, OH, PA, NY and Ontario Canada. Sometimes we travel for hours, get a hotel room and play for the entire weekend. It's a great family get away.

Sounds like vacations to me, hockeygal. I think that any time you can get away should be considered a vacation. I have even thought about just going to a local hotel for a weekend of rest and relaxation-now that would be a vacation to me.

My husband often take a small vacation trip somewhere near our place. It doesn't have to be a grand place, or places out of our own country. Having a vacation relaxes our mind, and makes our relationship even closer. Whenever we have the opportunity and enough budget, we would free some time to go somewhere. Places I have visited are Port Dickson, Genting Highlands and Langkawi. They are all places in my country.

I would say that you and your husband have the right idea, ladys. I feel that a vacation is truly in the mind and anywhere you can get away to will suffice. It could be as simple as setting up a tent in your back yard.

Yeah, i make sure that i do.. even if i had to tighten my budget in order to save for a vacation! lolz. I went anywhere i haven't been within the country.. and recently i had a vacation for a week in thailand! Such a beautiful country, wished i could stay a little longer (but time & money are not enough already, lol) i recommend you to go there, particularly in bangkok and pattaya, they have lots of tourist destinations there. i'm sure you'll enjoy it!

We just came back from our very first family vacation in Orlando Florida. We had a blast and didn't want to come home. When we were living in Samoa we travelled at least once a year to New Zealand to visit with family during the christmas holidays or when we had money to spend on travel. Next year we are saving towards my sister in laws wedding which will be held in Rarotonga in April so that will be like a vacation for us too. Can't wait to go!

I've returned from my UK trip for a month already and it's awesome! I'm still in holiday mood right now. I'm planning to go for a tour at least once each year starting from next year. Countries I've visited are malaysia, taiwan, south korea, england and scotland.

Nope, much as I would like to take vacations yearly, finances and time seem to be the common impediment:P My last vacation was three years ago when my friends and I went to Boracay, Philippines. I also enjoyed that vacation very much. I am planning to have a vacation this year but it seems that my friends are busy. When I feel like having an adventure, I may go on vacation alone!

I have gone to Ecuador each year for the last 5 years. My wife is from there and I used to live there for a few years. I don't know if I will be able to afford it this year though. I have had a few job changes so I don't have much money saved for vacations.

I make it a rule to go on a vacation every Holy Week and during Christmas season. Holy Week is usually spent either trekking or going to the beach. A vacation is also the best time for soul-searching, and for family bonding so I always grab the time when I could go on a vacation.

We may not always go on a week long vacation EVERY year but we will at least go for a week end get away or go away for a few days. This year due to my pregnancy we were not able to go on vacation for a week. But we did go on many weekend getaways.

I used to. Long long time ago. IN another life, that's how it feels. MY last real vacation was a bit over 17 years ago, just before my daughter was born. We went to Dominican Republic:):):) After that my life became a bit more complicated abd although I have been camping during the summer when it's possible, I haven't had a proper vacation ever since - one of those where I don't really have to cook, grill, put up the tent, etc etc etc :)

Vacation, yup I like that. :-) Yes I go on vacation every year. Every summer my family go on outing on the beach or swimming pool resort outside of town. I have been to many beaches and resort here in the Philippines. I have also been to Hongkong and China.
