The cost of 3 of my grandkids school books are $189.00 each an you have to pay that twice a year.In which i think is ridulious. This 1st thur 6th grade.Plus they got a list of thing they will need before the frist day of school. they need a 3 pack of t-shirts,gym shoes,to leave at school.Plus the parents has to buy glue, pencils, paper, tissue, clothes,an a whole lot more.I hate to see the cost of their school lunches.I havent gotten a chance to see my other grandkids school list that they need for junior high.I bet its alot higher than the others. Im sure glad i dont have kids in school. The cost of sending kids to school these day is just plain ridulious. But there is one good thing about school starting up.The kids will be out of the parent hair for awhile.

I remember when all we had to buy was a red chief tablet a fat pencil and fat colors plus glue and scissors for the kids to start school. Then when they were older it was spiral note books pencils colored pencils. We never had to pay school fees. Now you have book fees, fees for this class and fees for band parking fees. So many fees and if you have more than one child how are you to afford sending them to school? .Not only that they come after you if you can’t afford the fees. What ever happened to free education?

The problem is that those kids are still being left behind and so are those that could do alrighht in school. They now teach to the test and not to really educate the kids. They aren't even ready for college and it is a real shame. We get what we pay for. No one wants the property tazes to go up but still want the emenities that they used to pay for.

I am not looking forward to my children going back to school as I love having them around even though they tend to fight more when they are together to much of the time . I have three children in school right now and for two of my children it is a struggle as they both don't care for school but for my other daughter she loves school and can't wait for it to start again .
The cost of getting them back to school is ridiculous . Not only do they send home a ridiculous list of what we are expected to buy each year but also they send home a list that is always almost impossible to complete . Every year they ask for something that is almost impossible to find and you waste all your time looking for this particular item and stressing out because you can't find it . They need specific color binders and specific color scriblers . Brand name crayons , markers etc . It usually cost me about 200 hundred per child so roughly the same as for your grandchildren and that doesn't include the once they are in school fees such as the cost of the journals they have to have and the fee's for lockers and such . Every year it gets worse and worse what they feel we should be responsible for buying and I can't imagine what it is going to be like when my younger two have to go to school .

My fiance's son, age 16, was out here for a month, and flew home to start school on the 8th of August. He lives with another realitive, so we were not involved in "back to school" preparations. We miss not having him around here.
