Why do some people breeze thru life and others struggle?

I have only one brother but I have never met anyone luckier than him. Everything he does turns out well. Even when he is not trying things turn out great. He got sacked from a job and was offered a better one. He put the lottery on once and won a small amount. However I have to fight for everything I get. I dont seemed to get any luck come my way. Despite him being a lucky so and so he is still a great brother. Why do you think some people are luckier than others?
