I'm just wondering how a discusssion gets the top discussion status? I looked at some of the discussions and they are not very good, most of them having close to none responses. Are the gods of mylot in charge of it or something? It seems like it would be a hard job...

I don't know what type of system they have to rank the discussions, dsantacruz, but I have been disappointed recently when I've posted a discussion that seems to be lost in the shuffle. I always look for my top discussions on my home page, and when I don't find them there I check to see if they have been deleted for some reason.

I have the same thought you've got there. I posted about 10 discussions, more or less, since I registered here in myLot. But I've never seen them being one of the top discussions. Also, I haven't received a lot of responses from my posts. I guess I am partly at fault here. Maybe my discussions aren't as interesting or catchy as I thought they are.
